Default Test Pipes to High Flow Cats

You want it louder than non-resonated test pipes and think that going to high flow cats will accomplish that goal?

Question what don't you like about the test pipes? Besides it might not be loud enough I assume is iffy part

Test pipes are almost always louder and gain more power (with a tune) than HFC's.

But if you want really loud, you should get some long-tube headers and ditch the cat-back completely

I don't want louder than the TP. I want it to be louder than Stillen CBE that I have now. Test Pipes sound great at some RPM's. Not so much at others. So I'm thinking a good in between would be HFC.

So you are saying you want it louder that the STILLEN Cat-Back with factory cats, but you don't like the sound of it with Test Pipes?
JARblue likes this.

drop the stillen and go FI CBE. HFC will kill lose power/sound vs TP.

volume, power, and tone problems solved.

There is a difference between test pipes and high flow cats, but it is not that big of a difference. You could also look into Resonated Test Pipes. Will quiet them down a bit and remove some of the rasp.

High flow cats will smell a little, but no where near as much as Test Pipes.
