nizzan4u2nv,

We are currently working on getting one in to check fitment on the Nismo class.
The crash bars are a different part number per Nissan, so whether or not it is an actual detrimental physical change is an unknown at this point.

We will know for sure within the next two weeks, regardless; inevitably there will be one produced for the Nismo class if the V2 does not fit accordingly.

If you would like, I can keep you updated on this thread and if you are interested in purchasing one at a discount price now, I will gladly refund you in the case that it does not fit.

In the event that it does not fit properly we can either, simply refund the funds or you can wait until the revision is produced and we could ship it out at that point.

If you have anymore questions, feel free to post on here or email/call directly.

Thanks Guys.

good work! glad to see it show gains on the dyno.

wheres the mounting points? under the rad support and under the tow hook spot?

or am i mistaken and those little white spots behind the grill are the mounting extras?

just curious.

Thanks FPenvy,

There are 4 mounting points and the guide itself has two points of contact on the crash bar to serve as a brace.

The top two are in the upper core support (Rad Mount) and the bottom two are comprised of the two 6061 cylindrical spacers that we custom make here to fit. That is what you see in this photo. They reside in the crash bar

All the kits come with a perfectly sized drill bit for the tap bolts that we also provide.

Does that make sense?

Got mine and installation instructions were great! A bit of a pain to install BUT that was only due to the first shop who touched my car running the oil cooler lines a really dumb way. Still was able to finagle it in there and it sits just fine now. Thanks Joe! Can't wait to dyno it.

Roger that!

Yes, some setups can be a bit tedious.

Just keep in mind everyone. If you are going to dyno that you need to make sure you have adequate airflow. Ambient temperature/speed density will also play a role. You're going to want to be scientific about it and let it cool down in between runs, by a few passes, the car can be heat soaked rather quickly. The Z1 fan is huge and represents 75mph winds. The airflow must be close to the fascia to represent constant velocity. I personally went and tested the guide in a shop that only had a built in fan representative of 40-45 mph and was about 13 ft away. We gained 1whp.

I also had a customer write me today and said he tested his at 45mph and showed a zero gain. I am not certain of all the particulars, but there are so many factors involved in a part that is heavily dependent upon air speed and ambient temps. So at this point in time it is looking like we are only seeing major power benefits at higher speed levels.

The one conclusive point is that every single customer that has purchased one has said this "my car just runs better and my throttle response has improved" or "butt dyno says it is working"

So if you are going to test it, I would call Z1 and ask Jon exactly how he performed his test and then find a dyno that can support that air speed in close proximity. We can't expect the same results with different approaches to testing, it just adds more variables to an already heavily varying part.

P.S my signature logo is wayyy to bigggg!
