I feel like this kit needs cats to perform right. Don't use the small injectors that come with the kit or the tune. You won't make power!

With the Stillen Supercharger is the performance boost from low to top end really, really noticeable? Like, should I get a raging hard on when I floor it? I understand there are some shortcomings with the current Stillen kit that can be upgraded. I own a 2014 sport/touring and from what I have read on the forums, I plan to buy a SC kit, UpRev MAF GT, HKS Spark Plugs, 775cc injectors (in case I ever rebuild the motor and go for more power), FI Exhaust, Z1 clutch and flywheel combo, Z1Oil Cooler, and the Frozenboost Heat Exchanger. I can do all this over the next 6 months working as a contractor in Afghaniland.

Alright, now with the stock block I know that running 93 octane I should be wary of trying to go over 450whp. Would it still be cheaper if I upgraded my engine and pushed the Stillen harder with more boost instead of going the TT route to achieve the same power? Even with a TT at some point you will have to upgrade the engine. Hypothetically, with an impeller upgrade and pushing 12 psi with a built engine what would be some results that you think I could achieve? Would it even get close to competing with any twin turbo builds out there?

Also, I know a lot of people have older Stillen kits, but for those who have purchased kits this year; should I still replace the BOV that comes with the kit?

From my understanding even with a build engine you won't have much room to grow in power with the Stillen supercharger even doing all the upgrades to the kit you might end up spending as much or maybe more than a turbo kit and still you won't get anywhere near the power of a turbo kit but thats just my opinion. Read what others have to say, they know a lot more than i do.

Yeah that is the vibe I am getting from all the threads I have read. The turbo kits are a lot more expensive and I would only go twin turbo. I see some people have good numbers with the stock setup. I would have to invest in upgrade to fuel pump and injectors. Depends on how much money I want to put down on this and how long I plan to remain in Afghanistan.

Hi Neil912
I can give in the spring of 2015 clear answers you unfortunately.
How much BOOST can we go to with "STILLEN" and what power comes out.
We/I go to the extrem and check out the Maximum of this Kit........

One thing is clear.
Want to get more power (over 500-XXX WHP),
then I think there is only the turbo option.

And if you want to take such power (safe), then you need to increase the engine.
(Long full throttle rides, extreme stress and racetrack operations).
The price for the engine updress is then equal! Whether Turbo or Supercharger! There are the "same" Options. Forced Pistons, Rods, etc.

This is my experience! (But only with the STILLEN- kit)

I hope I'm not stoned here ?!

Greetings Ivo

^Agreed that twin turbos are expensive but if you decide to go the boosted road you don't necessarily need to build the motor IF you're gonna stay at 500whp or below as long as you have a good installation and tune. Actually there are quite a few guys here that would vote against building the engine since its been proven to be pretty damn strong stock and F.I. and Phunk at CJ Motorsport have push this engine to 600whp stock

You'll never be able to come close to the amount of torque that a turbo puts down. I have the stillen SC with every other supporting mods that stillen makes and I'm at 440whp and 327tq with a custom tune of course. I'm happy with the kit however I'm going TT this winter via AAM's new borgwarner set up. I just want more power! I'll be selling my kit w/the 9lb pulley in about a month or so.

Swiss, I've seen some of your videos and your build and that really got me interested in the Stillen kit. Of course the price as well, but I won't be able to make a decision until around May. I will definitely look forward to your build in the spring and see what numbers and upgrades you put into your Z.

If I go TT then I am looking at Fast Intentions, but I am not sure if I should go stage 1 or 2. I feel like if I go stage 2 then I can put lower boost and use stock engine, but if I want to go higher then that possibility is there.

There's nothing from stopping you from running higher boost on a stage 1. Going with the larger turbos on the stock block will mean a laggier, less responsive setup than the stage 1.

Just call Tony at Fast Intentions.Great guy and the customer service is top notch. He will answer all your questions regarding your own goals. I know you said twin turbo only but you can always look into Boosted Performance single turbo kit also which is another top notch kit with great end results similar to the twin turbo kits, less expensive and much easier to install.

Plue for what nomodsjk said, the most I made was 457 WHP and 330( 3 days) motor said see YA. I had every mod you could have for the kit, Impeller ( 12 PSI) Injectors, pump, plugs, MAF's, heat exchanger and tune. The kit in the "Stock" form is safe outside that your asking for trouble, Just IMO I was shooting for 500 WHP, The Stillen will never get there. Like Swiss said for 500+WHP you'll need turbos.

With that said the kit is very good I really loved it. Most likely will have it again. Just wont mod it. 412-420WHP is enough LOL, For me anyways
