Awesome work my man!

Just an item to note. In that second to last picture above, be really careful of that t-bolt clamp right next to the oil filter. That charge pipe is going to move around a good bit and you don't want it puncturing/rubbing a hole in the oil filter.

I have the BP kit and charge pipe knocks against the subframe so I know from experience.

On the oil filter placement have you twisted it off in position on the car? sometimes you have to watch the clearance to the bottom when it is being loosened so that in your case when you go to take it off the corner doesn't get stuck on your oil pan. Hard to tell in the pics if it is in front of the pan or right on the side of it.

Yes agreed to all the points above..on the oil filter it goes on and off with ease it does come close but with the oil filter I picked it's perfect. But I do see you point. I could make the plate go up alil to make some more clearance. ..thanks for the advice...

Also u said the charge pipe hits the subframe do you know where so I can try and fix that...I don't want any banging noise..

Anytime. I didn't pay much attention to it until it started knocking all the time. I can't find anything good to wedge in there so I became comfortable with leaving as-is until the next time I drop the turbo.

Be prepared to do a ton of zip tying as you put miles on it. I'm still noticing where things are clearancing themselves almost four months later. A lot of old radiator hose and zip ties on my car now.

1slow370 07-29-2014 01:39 PM

Np what are you doing for oil return?

Pic shows the same Exa pump Sasha uses in the same location. I assume routes it to the pump and then back to a port on the Greddy pan.

1slow370 07-29-2014 01:49 PM

I meant for the fitting under the turbo sorry, sometimes the 90's sit too low

If u can find it just get a coupler and slip it to that spot and zip tie it. All my oil lines well be zip tied so they won't go any where.....

I have the same savage pump that comes with the BP kit. From the turbo to the pump to the oil pan...I was thing about running another 30 row oil cooler but not sure yet

1slow370 07-29-2014 01:53 PM

Also if it is a bb turbo dont forget the supply line restrictor, the z has stupid oil pressure.

BBRSpeedWorks 07-29-2014 01:55 PM

I'll run a resoiver to the 90 my turbo has almost a 1/2 above the subframe...I mite have to work some things but I can deal with small bugs when I get back from my training event. I also need a base tune so I can get it to z1 that's my biggest problem right now

BBRSpeedWorks 07-29-2014 01:58 PM

Ya I have the oil restricted already.

:iagree:

That all depends on if you have a reservoir for the turbo return. My 90 starts horizontal and turns up so it's no lower than the reservoir. But still a very valid point.

BBRSpeedWorks 07-29-2014 05:08 PM

it's not a great pic to show the clearance of the tbolt but i think u can see y im not to worried about it

BBRSpeedWorks 08-11-2014 04:35 PM

Thanks man.... hopfully with this i can hit the 600whp area. i still have about 15days till i come home from cali and finsh everything...

BBRSpeedWorks 08-18-2014 11:23 PM

ok so here is an update. even tho i'm in cali for training till next week i've been making some moves so here it is.

brand new stock 2013 rays with 800 miles on them from a form member and good friend iron hide. "i was dumb and sold mine" but it gives me some ok tires for now.

working on a base map as i type this. as long as i get this i well be able to start the car aournd the first which would be great so can get it to z1 and she if can hit 600whp..also i have order all the pipe for the intakes from the turbo to behind the bumper and my oil line to the turbo. this is waiting for me at the house.

trying to pick out coilovers and if i want to run 3in intake tubes or stay with my 2.75...not sure..

BBRSpeedWorks 08-19-2014 09:37 PM

base map just came in so thats another thing i can check off and that much closer to start up... i feel like a kid on X-mas eve

BBRSpeedWorks 08-20-2014 01:04 AM

and this is the tip for the 3in dual exhuast that i will build soon

this is hands down the most impressive thing i've read on this forum.

thanks for the content and thanks for serving the country. I hope this hand made set up blows all the production big name kits out of the water

BBRSpeedWorks 08-20-2014 08:51 PM

Thanks that is by far the best compliment I've had. I hope this helps more people jump into a big project like this.

BBRSpeedWorks 08-22-2014 02:10 PM

Ok so just ordered my 3in charge pipe. Upgrading from 2.75. Hopefully this well take care of the problem of maxing out the maf's. Fingers crossed

megalapagas 08-22-2014 02:33 PM

Hey BBR what injectors are you gonna use, I've been looking into DW's, RC injectors And IDs...and how much is too much I'm debating between 750cc, 850 or 1Kcc....reason why is because I plan to run E85 in the future but I want to get the project started with 93oct for now.

I'm using five-0 750 cc injectors with 1:1 fpr but I'm going to upgrade to Id or dw 1000cc for e85 the 750 cc I got was free and when I used them on my talon at 30psi they worked great.good luck with ur build.

BBRSpeedWorks 09-08-2014 06:11 PM

Update finshed the car this weekend got to drive it for the frist time in 9 months. but only for about a 3 and half hours cuz i had staff duty(24hr) today but the car feels great i well post some more pics tomorrow when i wake up theres no exhaust yet and open waste gates for the time being. i have it running 12psi right now it feels great i still think my base tune is to rich. here is the pics of the 3in charge pipes and bov when i finally got them on the car....big goal of mine..but i hope everyone likes it and i hope to get it on the dyno soon....

If people hate, ignore them. Most of us just like seeing advancement on the VQ platform!

im with you on that. i want to help people but i see alot people in the Z world are very rude and stuck up not all but some...when i had my 350z i did a 6 speed swap for 1700 bucks and everyone side i lied so i had to post reciepts.. with a z you dont have to pay crazy price becuz they want us to someone just has to offer a good product with a nice price like sasha did. i have a plan for the next couple of months, hopefully everything goes as plan...i have a big deal with precision in the works...

mandrel bender cuz you can get a manual bender for around 1k and it will over time pay for it's self doing exhaust and charge pipes. i have alone 800 bucks buying prebent pipe where if i just bought stright pipe for a 1/8 of the price...

whats's next...frist will be the 3in dual exhaust for my car. then i'm going to redesign my manifold so it will have less welds to get it down to maybe 4 welds....i do this for fun and love to help people...im not here to make money i'm just want to show my love for cars and have a fast a$$ car.
