Thanks Marken!

And to confirm, Yes - I will get some pictures of the installed kit on Aviator44's 370Z posted up tomorrow.

We have been so thrilled with the performance of the kit I forgot to showcase how nice it looks also!

Need me to swing by to snag some photos for you guys?

These are larger turbos than what us F.I. pump gas guys are running. I believe most of the guys that have the larger F.I. Garrett's are running e85. Looks like a horse race.

Congrats on the good numbers. Beautiful looking kit.

*Edit: I stand corrected. They got 606 on 91 with the larger turbos.

I was going to take some nice pictures outside today but the weather is not going to allow it, so here are just a few pictures of the system installed on one of our R & D vehicles ( Aviator44's 370Z ).

mmmmmmmhmmmmmmmmmm! looks good boys!

Chuck33079 09-25-2014 10:29 AM

AAM, can you talk me through the MAF location? I was under the impression the rule of thumb is that you wanted it spaced further away from a change in diameter, like when the coupler meets the hard pipe in the pic above. Is that not the case? I'm not armchair quarterbacking, I'm genuinely curious.

Aviator44 09-25-2014 10:47 AM

Looks great Max! I cannot wait to drive it!! Literally smiling ear to ear just thinking about it.

KN21283 09-25-2014 11:08 AM

Looks good Max! I'm losing sleep thinking about these builds.:excited::excited::excited:

Good observation. We did extensive testing on the MAF sensors and that location provides a very stable and consistent flow while allowing us to retain the factory harness and connectors. You will find that this setup idles ultra smoothly similar to the stock setup and the larger diameter of the piping allows more air flow allowing more power before the OEM MAF sensors peak.

Very cool. Thanks for clearing that up.

Awesome. Be careful at first. The test drive once the turbos get installed is shocking. Mine scared the hell out of me for a while.

Yep! I arrived at AAM around 11:30 on Saturday and drove the car 8 hours home. Big thanks to Max and the guys for coming in on a Saturday to fit my schedule! I did see your car!

I will be writing a full review with pictures and video shortly. In the meantime though, I'll provide some feedback. If I had one word to describe the car it would be effortless. Effortless in the sense that the car is far more capable performance wise than anything you could want it to do. No longer is the car the restriction, it's the driver. The moment you roll onto the throttle she wants to scream. I took the drive home extremely easy, but even doing so you sense immediately the car is stupid fast compared to stock. The turbos spool up quickly and you can feel the car begging you for more. I've had fast vehicles but nothing I've owned compares to this Z.

I also had Z1 motor/trans mounts installed that feel phnomenal. Vibration certainly increased but it's not unbearable. The benifits completely outweigh the drawbacks. I highly recommend them.

Additionally, I went with the AAM 3" exhaust that sounds amazing. It has the perfect low deep tone I was looking for when taking it easy but absolutely screams when you want it to.

All in all the car is everything I wanted it to be and more. The setup and work done by AAM has been outstanding and it truly has made me love this car more than I could imagine. You can't help but smile every time you drive it.

You guys that are having the same setup installed will not be disappointed! The wait was completely worth it! :driving::happydance:

I mean with either the 3inch aam or greddy tic systems lol. gonna see if I can just use the 3inch mid section of the aam system and have them make the same short tails as the 2.5inch system just in 3inch. after I recover from paying for the system lol.
