Between 0-3500 rpm there isn't much oomph is all. A super charger would fix this more then a TT for sure. Obviously if you are looking for high RPM HP increases then that is out the window. Thats why I said in my opinion, I would prefer to see a kit that would show me gains on my daily driving rather then a kit that would only really really shine on the track.

The possibility exists that in the 0-3500 RPM range this kit won't add all that much oomph either just because it's a centrifugal supercharger and not a roots or twin screw type...

I'm just hoping that with a kit like this and the same tuning we saw in this thread (and I have no idea what kind of tuning it was but damn holy torque balls..) http://www.the370z.com/forced-induct...p-532rwtq.html then this kit will fuckin rock!!!

Give us a SC Kit with 450RWHP/RWTQ!!!

Possibility being the word. I'm pretty sure the Torque curves on the dyno will prove other wise.

fstrnldr 01-30-2010 09:32 AM

Regarding the "low end torque increase" A superchargers boost curve is 100% dependent on the RPM of the supercharger. So a pulley change would cause the boost to build quicker. The other side of this is that in doing so you could potentially over spin the supercharger by the cars redline. For those looking for that low end, an optional pulley could be made. Just might have to lower your rev limit a bit. Of course this is all speculation until we see what the base numbers are.

You're looking at the dyno wrong. The blue lines are with the SC and it makes way more power and tq throughout the entire RPM range.

This has kinda been a let down :(

lol... i love the sleepover comment, cause thats exactly what i did... fell asleep in this thread... but I'm back now and patiently waiting results:yum:

FuszNissan 01-30-2010 02:29 PM

You guys need to remember most of the FI stuff for the Z has been custom made. It's going to take time. Believe me the last thing GTM needs is a blown car for rushing production.

frost 01-30-2010 02:30 PM

You want quality, or you want it quick, cuz you can't get both.

StillenZ 01-30-2010 02:38 PM

Lou: theres not too many people I'll take advice from being patient from, and I know I don't even know you, but you are one patient guy lol... I'm sure it will all be worth it though.

B1nks 01-30-2010 03:17 PM

StillenZ 01-30-2010 09:27 PM

wheres my ambien?

SAM@GTM 01-30-2010 10:44 PM

First of all everything is going very smooth, some minor loose ends always comes up when finishing a project of this magnitude but so far so good and I think pictures speaks for themselves .

We are just finalizing the parts list and the instruction for carb testing and after that we will have the full press release of the GTM SUPERCHARGER KIT .

I know this taking longer thee anticipated but it will be worth it. The press release will not be limited to just testing results, it will include pricing for all the stages that we offer and some great special introductory prices that we will be offering for a limited time only.

And we are still working on it even on Saturday night.

Thanks for your understanding

Sam

Wow, Sam... fantastic work! If I were to go the GTM SC route it looks like the install will require a lot of beer!

Beer should be there no matter what :D but on serious note
it is easier than it looks and we will be making a DVD of the complete install process .

That's fantastic. It looks top notch and very, very clean. With the bumper on it'd be hard to tell that anything substantial is really going on in there.

And I think those pictures should serve to remind us all that there are TWO SC kits in the works right now...

kdoske 01-30-2010 11:35 PM

looks great, can't wait to see the results.

Like I said earlier...sleeper. Looks almost like a mostly stock engine bay with cold-air intake pipes. The intercooler isn't too obvious, either. I read that the Rotrex is a lot quieter than other SCs. That true?

BLUESLATE 01-31-2010 01:12 AM

Sam, please tell me the kit will work with the HR motor as well for the 07+ G sedan. Pretty plz????

tru_Asiatik 01-31-2010 01:22 AM

looks like im going to rancho cucamonga soon :D

*sam ill bring some beer if u want :D

Togo 01-31-2010 08:33 AM

Wow Sam, the kit looks great! Thats also great that you'll be releasing a DVD on the install process since there are so many people on this site that will be doing the installs themselves. That will have to be the best set of directions ever!

Looking forward to your official press release and dynos :excited:
