Where does everyone get this magical 550whp limit? I would not run my car at 600whp daily but I think it can take it as a hot tune.

I don't recall saying 550 anywhere.

600 is for SURE passing it's limits, also, you don't floor it enough to even overheat your car, so I'd hazard to guess that yes, YOU can get away with a tune like that running it at the limit sparingly, but most of us drive hard, especially those who went FI.


Btw, that 550-ish limit comes from experience. Although it's torque, not HP that kills the motor

Torque is definitely to number. I won't feel comfortable with anything over 400ft-lbs on a dynojet
