I too have the aluminum flywheel and the car revs much more noticeable than stock but that chatter is very pronounced at idle. Even over my non res and no cat full 2.5" fast intentions exhaust. But I figured I'm already going to have cabin drone from the exhaust so what the hell; racecar!

do you like the 24 better? would i feel a big dif going from the stok 30lb+ flywheel to the 24 lb?

its a noticeable difference, but more importantly is the fact that the stock dual mass flywheel cannot handle the torque when going FI, eventually it will break, like mine did.

you must have a high tolerance :icon17: the 19lb is loud as ****, I removed mine. the 25lb "black" is what I have now, its relatively quiet, but still a bit chattery. cant really avoid some noise when switching to a single mass

:iagree:

I have the 25lb mated up with the Stage 3 clutch. Chatter isn't too bad.

Get new Fuel Injectors. ;)

COSMO 12-14-2013 09:04 AM

Thanks for the offer but I don't want to limit myself later if I bought these. Going to stick with the 1000cc injectors.
Thanks again esfourteen for the help....

Those dyno graphs look really nice.. I would switch kits if I could a decent amount for my gtm TT kit but I really doubt it...

Makings some good progress

Hey Phunk how about an eta on that fuel return system you were telling me about??

COSMO 12-16-2013 02:32 PM

Just wanted to add I just called bobby and S&R Performance and he's just waiting on the custom pistons to arrive before starting the build. And just for the record he has taken the time to talk to me the few times I have called. I did have them go ahead with the L19 head studs and paid the difference with the ones they were going with... Keep your fingers crossed all goes well. ;)

We should have it all available later this month! Stage 0 RFS kits have been out since the car came out. But our larger stages are being wrapped up now.

That is the news that I wanted to hear!

COSMO 12-16-2013 10:07 PM

With the power level of just over 600whp I am shooting for, will the Stage 0 RFS kit work or will I need the next step up? Understand I don't want to have to question anything after this build... ;)

phunk 12-17-2013 02:20 AM

You will want the full stage 2 kit, which replaces everything except the pump sending unit. All the plumbing gets a substantial size increase to eliminate sources of restriction and pressure drop, so that you can max out the fuel pump with the only thing holding it back being the filter and sending unit assembly. This means new rails and everything.. really trick!

Does anyone know the difference in the 2860rs vs the gtx upgrade? I am considering doing that as well since I have everything out...
