Oh and I don't know why I cant find any good instructions on the fuel pump wiring. Do I cut the lines that go into the outside harness clip that

Oh and I don't know why I cant find any good instructions on the fuel pump wiring. Do I cut the lines that go into the outside harness clip that sits on top of the pump, the wires that feed the pump? I've read you cut the pink one and black one. Is this right?
