Nope. All of the functions that have been promised are now "coming before the end of the year" per dynotronics.

Good news,
I'll be looking forward to the results of how well this setup works.

There's no way I would do the ECUTEK when the user can't tune it himself. Th fact they have been sketchy here and over on the GTR forums also makes me suspect. Uprev is fine lots of tuners have way more experience. Uprev has great tech support with upgrades always coming.

This. The one thing you don't want to risk is the tuning. The benefits aren't there to take the risk with the unproven tuning software yet.

Don't get too happy yet. These are the same features that were promised months ago and we didn't get jack ****. Ectuek has potential, but right now there's one shop offering it (I'm assuming we leave Visconti off the list since the car-b-cue he had with a customers car). I wouldn't be a guinea pig for something like this.

SPOHN 10-13-2013 05:53 PM

I still haven't seen tuning on a FI car via ECUTEK.

Mkai0 10-13-2013 06:11 PM

I'm not getting my hopes up too soon. I'll wait for others to take plunge on this. For now, Uprev and a touch of methanol is good enough for me. If the flex fuel option works out well on the VQ platform, this will be a big game changer.

For those in this group buy who are planning to build your motor, which turbo did you choose? I had my mind set on the 20G for my built motor, but now I am considering the GT2871r or even the GT30 series.

I think there was one member who had visconti's tune on his TT setup but I haven't seen anything about it in awhile. Visconti might be busy still putting out the flames over on the fr-s forums still :stirthepot:

Wow I didn't know it was that bad! Should I go with Uprev? Is the programming that messed up and hard to work with?

You should be good to go as far the tuning aspect of things. There is an N/A 370z guy here in San Antonio who swears by Ecutek, and makes at least 320whp with it. I think some people were concerned about boost control, map switching, and a few other things that may not be ready just yet for the VQ platform. Who did you have in mind to tune your Ecutek?

Precision R out of San Antonio

There's also Dynotronics out of New Braunfels north of San Antonio. That's who's running the group buy here.

Yup, they are the only people who I know of so far in Texas that has tuned a 370z using Ecutek.
