Sorry guys i was at pure automotive pretty much all day watching visconti work like a mad man. It was 100+ in that shop and the guy probably did close to 40 pulls. And my motor never once skipped a beat or got close to overheating which says a lot.
Ok so visconti hooked me up w 4 maps.
Map1 7psi
Map2 10 psi
Map 3 15 psi
Map 4 20 psi

The throttle control w ecutek is simply amazing. Map switching is super easy.
Ive messed with the no lift shift. It works like a charm.
So my tune was done w 93 octane
And e60 blend and im running flex fuel w ecutek.
I am currently maxed out on my wastegate springs and injectors are close to being maxed out. Or i woulda got a full e85 tune yesterday. I also run lower compression on my motor so i need more boost than those on stock block to achieve higher numbers. But the good news is that there is a lot of room left with some minor upgrades for me. But i think i will just enjoy my car for the rest of the summer before i decide to make my next move. Its been too long without my car.

So can anyone recommend an air/oil separator for me?

I've looked at one from JEGS, but ended up with a pair of cheap ones from GodSpeed. I modified it and added RTV to the threads to improve the seal. When I had stuff put back together there was already oil building up under the intake manifold after 25 miles of driving. After the twin catch can setup in the same conditions, it was completely bone dry. :D

Is anyone running sleeper mode with recirculated wastegates and a quiet (is there one?) BOV?

Sleeper mode is being easy on the throttle. :rofl2:

:iagree:

I wouldn't trade all the wonderful turbo noises for being a sleeper. My car is a perfect sleeper until you hear turbo whistle. But by that point...:driving:

Enough said. Haha. Seriously, for those who have not driven a turbocharged 370Z, it is very quiet for daily driving. It feels like a stock Z with an exhaust. If you give it half throttle and rev past 2.5k RPM, it starts to spool. If you let it off around 3k RPM and continue driving casually, the BOVs vent lightly. That's just barely 2-4 PSI tops at partial throttle.

Hotrodz 06-24-2015 01:21 PM

I paid a lot of money for those twins and by god, every time I hear that glorious noise I know that it was money well spent.

It's a Nissan and if it's not a GTR, its a sleeper by definition!!!;)

Spooler 06-24-2015 03:17 PM

Excuse me but, "YOU ALL SUCK!!!!". I'll have my twins one day. Talk about an addiction issue, Geesh. Get around you turbo guys and I start shaking and talkng funny like the weasle on Fog Horn Leg Horn. Well, if he talked...LOL

Is it enough for a set of turbo's.....LOL

Just don't be drinking anything when you are around me. Folks tend to get choked and whatever they are drinking
ends up coming out their nose. If I am me, I am funny. If I try to be funny, not funny. Go figure.

I wonder how an Ecutek tune with vvel control compares to the Uprev one on this kit.

I plan on switching to Ecutek for flex fuel in the near future.

Do it. Its the best. And guys. I am loving my fast intentions kit. It is solid. Doesnt overheat. Temps havent gone above 100 celcius. Averaging around 190-195 faranheit. When i hit 20 psi the thing sounds like a freaking monster. Truly happy to be finally enjoying my car after so many months of building and upgrading. Thankyou fast intentions!!

Right on! I'm have full confidence that Seb has got this as he has installed Ecutek on several GTRs including his own. I'm getting a flywheel upgrade too! :D

Flexfuel would be nice but I don't know how much of a fan I am of having an aftermarket electronic device determining what blend I'm running.

Anybody know any details on the Zeitronix sensor? Does it default to zero ethanol (I.e straight premium gas) if it fails?

He did my dads car as well and it is flawless. A E85 tune is nice but flex fuel is even better!

Hotrodz 06-30-2015 10:04 AM

Yup, I met a GTR owner in Vegas who had it installed right after it was made available for the GTR and he could not stop taking about it, all the other GTR owners were envious.

It reads .10 when i use pump gas so its pretty accurate. I would say. The highest ive got it up to was .82

So will the tune and hp adjust according to the fuel readings or doe sit just let you know where to manually set the tune at?

hjo1078 06-30-2015 11:51 AM

Yup. I def feel more torque when my econtent is higher. You can add as much pump and as much ethanol as youd like and it adjusts by itself. I dont have to worry about a thing.

I have no concern with it when it's functioning properly. My concern is what happens if the sensor fails. Does EcuTek just assume premium pump gas to be conservative?

hjo1078 06-30-2015 12:34 PM

I wish i knew the answer to that.

I would think that would be a correct assumption since pump gas is more prevalent and the whole system compensates for ethonol, not gasoline. I think this would be the same as an oem flex fuel system, if it fails and your ethonol content is high, you are gonna have a bad day:mad:! I hop to never find out, but as with any high performance buid there is always a chance of bad juju even if you do everything thing right.
