As I stated in an earlier post the install is going well. We have been waiting the last few days on the balance of our return fuel system. If everything comes in the car will be buttoned up in a few days. The car is scheduled to be tuned on Monday.
I've made detailed notes of the install. If anyone has questions I'll be glad to answer them. Here's a couple of pics |

jay,
Your car looks amazing. It looks like you are building a track monster. I notice that you are running an aftermarket radiator. I was curious as to who makes it? Anyways, any feedback you can offer about the oil temps. would be greatly appreciated. I know I keep asking in various turbo threads, but its the Greddy kit that I'm particularly interested in. Mostly because they have oil lubricated and cooled turbos. I look forward to seeing the progress.

We buttoned up the install on Sunday. Most of our time has been spent on modifications to all the ancillary systems on the car. The Greddy potion was probably the easiest part. As this car is a track only car, there has been a lot of attention given to details that may not be necessary on a street car.
This install was done in my 3 car garage on jack stands. (I do have an engine lift) We received the install manual after the motor was back in the car. This gives some idea of how well it goes together! Other than rerouting the fuel line, there is very little fab or modification required. CJ provided us with a return fuel system that installed in a few hours. The car fired right up. No leaks. No issues. We are using a Greddy Informetter Touch as a gauge package, and I can't imagine they will be able to keep them on the shelves. This is the coolest device I've seen in a while. If you love you I-Phone this is a must have! We'll see if it can survive track duty... The car is heading to Sharif's shop this morning to be tuned. Should have some numbers soon. |

We have the car back from Forged. Sharif tuned it to just over 440whp at around 8 PSI (waste gate pressure) on 100 octane . The 20gs would have easily put down over 500, but we only wanted to add 150whp max to the chassis. The car is going to be pounded on WOT most of its life. Rather than the occasional hard pull on the street. I'm certain Sharif has a very conservative map on the car, He has detailed the tune in another thread.. It was however very apparent of the HP potential of this kit.
I was able to drive the car some in my neighborhood. My first impressions "HOLY $#!+ BALLS" !!!! This car is so light, with the JRZs still set for NA and the new solid bushings... the 305 R888s where no match. Boost comes very quick, the waste gates open almost immediately... then things get interesting! With the open dumps and no sound deadening you can't here the race rubber screaming for mercy as the first 3 gear click away as fast as you can shift them. I made a few hard pulls and put the car away, as it is VERY loud. I will have a lot more details after some hard track testing this weekend. Here are a few pics also new splitter and 335s (Camera Phone) |
