, as for the gaps... on the two pipes meeting each other and also where it meets the single pipe... dont worry about the gaps... 
honestly every fab guy or welder including myself... have all welded something together even when there was a small gap... its harmless bro... 
even if your boosted... it would only matter if there was like a o say 1/4 gap and he just filled it with weld... thats... a different story....
