Amen! I can't believe an incompetent salesman almost ruined such a great reputation.

Ok really glad we left this open, So we know Bobby stepped up and said he would make things right. . . ??? So I had to call again 3 times to get the tracking #, Yes I understand they are busy moving but someone can not pick up the phone for 30 seconfs and give me the trax #? So I finally get it, the dealer gets the intake like they said OVN( Wend), I get excited to see it, The tech calls me and says" Look man you have to come see this thing before I put it on"? Ok thats not good since the dealer is like 35-40 mins from me, So I get out there(today) and look at it AN REALLY MAN, I'm supposed to put that on my car?? The intake welds look like crap, There is a crack in the intake, The MAF's are off center and have gaps on the inside, one of the welds have a HUGE hump in it, There is no way this is going on the car, Then to top it all off they did not send me MY STILLEN intake I sent them to trace, An I have to use the one I bought from Stillen that they where going to take back..So regaurdless I spent $170 on a paper weight( S&R's intake_.. BTW I called them 4 times this morning to try to talk to them before I put this up here but no on picked up,
The only good this is the Impeller on the sc, Pics are below of everything. I know guys on here said Bobby is a good guy, He maybe but the people he is trusting to do things are suspect at best.. The intake looks like it was rushed and looks like is SHOULD BE FREE, terriable :( |
Am sorry abt that , it makes u think twice who to deal with now :shakes head:

This thread has been painful. From all ends. Truth is, that piece looks OK to run. For $170 that's a LOT of work. No it ain't perfect, but it arrived on time, and it's handcrafted.
There is no 'crack' in the intake. The joint was welded fully on the other side. Looks: As a past tech, I've seen the prettiest parts run like crap, and ham and egg contraptions set records. It depends. I feel your disappointment, but I'm not convinced S&R did you wrong. ANMVQ: You don't need to agree. :) Coop |
Hey Coop thanx man, For the info, I is fully welded on the but there is a gap between the two peices, I mean trust me I did not expect it to be "perfect" Because it is the first one. But I have had parts customed before," Air intake for my old EVO 8" Bill at DSG made it for me and I was the only one to ever run it, An it looked 100% better than this, The things that really bug me are the spaces on the inside where the MAF's would sit, the gap where the 2 arms meet and the huge mound of a weld, The interior of the intake should be smooth no? Imperfections will cause turbulence wont they? Plus on the outside the MAF housing are slanted? So the MAF would sit slanted on the pipe , Wont that affect the air readings? Things I want to understand. I know being the first and having this made "Special " for you or your car take time and can be a trial and error , But it just seems this went off from the start. Like I said before I'm sure Bobby is great, But some otheres have to help him out.
