Forced induction and OEM exhaust

I use the Motordyne XYZ Y pipe in conjunction with the Tanabe exhaust. I like this combo a lot and the fitment is perfect. PM me if you need to

another thought, i could purchase the MD exhaust and have it shipped directly to you.

edit: perhaps ship just the mid-pipe to you?

If I had a 370z at my disposal I would have no problem doing that.

Yeah, but as soon as this project is done it is gone. If I had some extra time for it it would be no big deal. Mid pipe would work as long as it uses the OEM hangers before the rear axle. This would determine the length of the down pipe.

Remember, I need to build two kits here, one for the car to drive away with and one for me to keep so I can build jigs in order to duplicate the entire kit so that it is a perfect fitting kit every time

Sasha, I'm curious what your recommendation for the exhaust would be, had you not been given a car w/ a FI exhaust already installed. i'm guessing you're running something custom on your 350. would you be willing to include an exhaust option for those who want a complete turn-key kit?

Top Speed Exhaust Review

That is probably one of the cheapest options that I can find. I may even just try that exhaust out and see how it works with the kit.

If that exhaust bolts up to the OEM Y-pipe, it would work well. If it comes with it's own Y-pipe then the flange may be in a different location compared to OEM.

From what I understand, it does not come with a Y-pipe. You can buy the Y-pipe from them though if you want. Basically that exhaust comes with no Y-pipe.

Looks like it..but 2.75" does not excite me. Why didn't they go to 3"? The 2.75" will be enough to max out the stock rods, but still.

Sasha, what don't you like about the OEM exhaust? Is it the muffler design? If so, would these work? They are an axle-back replacement for the stock muffler...

AAM Short Tail

That would be a great option. It is the OEM rear muffler that concerns me, but this would work just perfect.

If we go that route, does the diameter of the stock mid-pipes (and short-tails) concern you?
