It would make sense, but unfortunately things didn't work out like that. It's all good though, Aaron at Jet Black was nice enough to get back to me and let me know the OEM design will do just fine. Thanks for everyone's input, and poking fun, this should be an enjoyable and worthwhile project.

I would honestly not buy a turbo system from a company that sells a STAGE 4 turbo LOL... whats up with ppl quoting stages all over the place.. . I noticed the same over @ the evo forums too... kinda funny cus its not like stage 4 means anything by itself ... guess it depends on the shop and their kits offered. Usually...
Stage 1 - tune
Stage 2 - turboback / intake / tune
etc...

but I have seen ppl sell a stage 1 package w/ all of the crap mentioned above... so really pointless to say stage blah... instead just list out what the kit contains...

Just curious since you are speaking of you and some partner. Are you with a business in the auto industry or do you do car builds for shows? What kind of experience have you got?

we're two best friends who take our hobbies to the extreme. We've saved up a good amount waiting for the right project to come along. If it wasn't going to be the Z we were about to take an e39 m3 and do a full build around an RB26DETT. Experience wise, I had a heavily moddified 2004 Mustang GT O/R X-pipe, gears, diablo tune, full suspension (springs, shocks, struts etc) and a vortech made about 350-400 at the wheels. We have plenty of capable shops and sources to help us out to see this through with the Z. First thing, full CF kit next step turbo and so forth.

Intensepower built this custom top-mount TT setup for a customer's 350Z. Twin GT37R's, and it they still used the OEM hood w/ no modifications.... Setup makes 1,013whp, and that wasn't at full boost.

Finished Setup....

In this case the stages of the turbos are relative to their potential power out put. We will be selling the GTM Turbo Kit. Stage 1 uses twin GT2871R .64A/R turbos ~ 500whp-ish, Stage 2 has .86A/R ~700whp, 3 uses GT3071R .64 A/R ~850whp, and 4 uses GT3071R .86 A/R ~1000whp.

Its to help people get a grasp on the different options out there, thats all.

I truly wish you luck (), but it seems odd that someone ready to put down big cash on a TT Z would ask these questions.
