modme, can dashcommand read from different sources at the same time (boost from PLX sensor and the rest from any OBD2 USB interface)? Or do you have to have a PLX OBD reader linked to your gauges by iMDF and then one single cable to dashcommand?

modme 12-11-2011 06:07 PM

PLX and OBD use separate USB ports. Dashcommand can read 1 obd + 2 external sources.

Ron 12-11-2011 06:12 PM

Excellent, thank you sir :tiphat:

The magden monitoring system is amazing. I like it better than hks. Looking forward to your build. What exhaust did you get?

I have a FI TDX. Thinking about getting a 3 inch though. Too bad they stopped making the Magden.

Glokwork 12-11-2011 07:12 PM

Looks like it's gonna be an awesome build! Good luck and can't wait to see the results Ron!

Jamaica 12-11-2011 07:14 PM

I was hoping they will come back but oh well. I bought mine from Lou. I love it. Simple and reads everythin I need and easy to use. The magden are rare and if you find it it's $$$$.Next best to me is hks.

The only issue I have with HKS is the add ons are stupid expensive and for no reason.

Ya the adds on are expensive. Even with the magden i had to spend about 500 extra for the add on features that I wanted. But its good. I am going to keep it after deciding that i want to go TT now.

Ron 12-15-2011 05:11 PM

Took the exhaust parts to Polydyn for coating, should be ready in a week or 2.

Ron 12-23-2011 04:48 PM

Exhaust parts are ready, didn't have a chance to pick them up last week so will be doing so next tues. After that I'm going to Costa Rica for a 2 week vacation :D:D. Install should begin after.. If I don't spend more than I'm supposed to over there lol

Interesting dilemma............

Ron 12-27-2011 06:25 PM

Alright, parts are back from ceramic coating. Polydyn gold high grade, good for 2400 degrees!

Inside and out except for exhaust manifold and turbo exhaust housing, those are outside only.

I'm not in the market yet, but any chance you can post a price?

Ron 12-27-2011 08:03 PM

No price yet, expect it to be a bit more than their standard systems. Tony is still crunching numbers and will send info to buyers next week. The more we get the better, who knows when he will be making more of these.

roplusbee 12-28-2011 07:39 AM

Oh yeah! Looks like it is time. I was going to go out to his shop once I get back from Afghanistan, but this is the break that I needed...................

Jamaica 12-28-2011 03:16 PM

Yes I talked to Tony about doing a 3 inch exhaust for our project car. He will be installing it on our TT kit also.

Ron 12-28-2011 10:06 PM

I'll go ahead and throw a feeler on my exhaust. It will be for sale in the next 3-4 weeks. FI TDX with 18in resonators, SS cans. Shines like the first day I got it 5k miles on it, cleaned tips every time I wash the car. Prefer local but can ship at buyers expense. $1100 OBO.

roplusbee 12-30-2011 01:50 PM

That's wassup! I'm stoked bro......

Ron 12-30-2011 01:57 PM

 when are you coming back to TX?

roplusbee 12-30-2011 02:00 PM

I got like 6 more months left in hell..........It's killing me (not literaly, lol)

Ron 01-17-2012 07:53 AM

Alright guys I am back in the US, had lots of fun in my trip but I also spent a lot of money lol.

I got a 3" exhaust from FI coming in a few weeks so I think I will wait till then to install everything. If anybody else wants in on the exhaust we still have 3 spots open, you will LOVE the pricing Tony is giving on the first batch of systems. PM me if you are interested.

Welcome back Ron! Looking forward to getting my exhaust and seeing your build!

Robert_K 01-17-2012 08:56 PM

Nice build!!! Like to hear more about that coating.

Ron 01-17-2012 09:51 PM

Thanks Robert. Polydyn is one of the 3 major performance coaters on the US along Swain Tech and HPC. Their coats embed on the metal and they guarantee it will not peel/fall off. They have several grades depending on your needs. I did it to reduce engine bay temps. It should also help with turbo spool time since it reduces heat transfer from the parts that it was applied to. It keeps hot air where its supposed to be.

Ron 01-17-2012 09:53 PM

GTX2863Rs are out... Should I?

Well I did the Swaintech coating on my I/C and it was chipped away from road debris. Like to coat the manis, hot-sides, etc... as well. Need to discuss with PowerFab my options more for the I/C.

I see. I left my IC alone. Might add some cool tape to the sides but that's it.
