I have 22,000 miles on my Baker/GTM TT build, and not one issue. Jason took his time installing mine, and I have nothing but good things to say. My stock clutch is just now going out but I don't think that is anyone's fault there. I have a street tune done by Sam and could not be happier. My tune works now, and the first time I ran the car. I am glad some of us are keeping it classy.
Quick question: How many GTM GTX builds are there ??? |
Just one :D
|
i want TT sooooo bad. Wife would quit me though. Oh well, maybe in a few years.

Good stuff Ron

Quick update as promised.
Car was throwing a couple of codes: P0106 and P006A: MAP sensor codes bc we did not disabled them on the tune we loaded. I went into limp mode once because of this which scared the sh1t out of me. The car made some weird chattering noises while in this mode when I got on the throttle, I cleared the code, restarted the car and the engine was back to being super smooth. I stayed out of boost until the codes were disabled under DTC in uprev. P0420 and 430: Catalyst system error, again we disabled these on uprev since I no longer have cats. P0300: random/multiple cylinder misfire. Still not sure on what caused this, FSM says check spark plugs, coils, injectors etc. Johnny made a couple of adjustments to my fuel table and I have not gotten the code since, we'll see. The only problem I am having now is a clicking noise under the dash near the accel pedal when I'm above 2500rpm, the higher the rpms the faster the clicking.. I found this TSB that describes my issue exactly, but I am not sure if this is indeed what is going on: http://www.the370z.com/370z-technica...e-running.html |
That heater core problem sounds like something Jason could fix for ya. And it might be due to the draining of the radiator and such. Sounds like a quick easy fix though.

Yeap, already talked to him, he offered to look at it today but I have to work. I will take it Tuesday.

Thanks mister, good luck with the move!

I actually had the same noise that drove me crazy. Ended up being my waste gate recirc pipe tapping on the firewall. Might be something to check.

^^^^I had the same issue. My driver's side waste gate pipe coming off te manifold was tapping the firewall. It took a little messing with, but it is gone now. Also of note, be careful parking in heavy rain. Somehow water managed to funnel its way into my passenger side filter and filled up my charge pipes! :icon14:
|
Yeap, I know what you guys are talking about, had the same issue with the same pipe, we fixed it :D. Elliot, I saw your thread about water on the IC, that's no bueno!
Also, were you able to get this bolt on? If so how? It's the passenger side downpipe where it bolts to the exhaust housing of the turbo, because of the angle of the downpipe the stud hits it at an angle that does not allow it to go in, you can see the marks were it hits the pipe. http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n...03/photo-2.jpg |
Mine is not that tight for some reason. Could be that I am running a smaller hot side or a difference with the design for the G...
|
I was thinking about just banging the pipe a little to get the stud to slide in.
|
Ron, I was able to get that on, but not easily. I put that stud in before the downpipe was on. Then, I ground down the rim of the nut so it would fit (mine was hitting the downpipe and wouldn't line up with the hole). When you put the downpipe back on, put that nut on first and tighten it down before putting the others on. This way you can move the pipe around to get the nut lines up. Hope you can get it lined up!
|
lol, you guys are funny. Why dont you use a nut without a flange, instead of grinding down a flange? M8x1.25 grade 10.9 nut can't cost you more than 1 dollar.
|
Ron, I'm getting the same noise under the dash area. My tech worked on one 370Z that had silicone stuff coming out from the heater core. I've been hearing the noise thinking it was the flywheel, but it comes and goes especially in cooler weather. I'm going to have it checked on the next oil change.
|
So all is well now? I'm gonna PM you as well..............

Awesome

Sounds awesome!!
I just got my WG recircualted today but I haven't started it yet. I still have some things to put back together and I'm out of town til Wednesday. I can't wait to hear the awesome for myself. :D |
The car sounds so good in person. I remember hearing it echo down Hellbender on Saturday. Beastly
|
Damn that sounds good! That's almost identical in HP, but about 30wtq lower than what I made at Z1...on 11 psi! Nice results. Wish I could have met up with you at ZDayz.
|
Sick!
I made close to 450 whp peaking around 9.13 PSI with the stock GTM tune and 2.5" TDX exhaust. I'm liking this new exhaust. It's not too loud. Gives me something to think about the next few months lol. The new turbos seem to be performing very very well! |
Very Nice Results Ron!
