Has anybody else had any experience with these?
I have been looking at these recently. These are 1 of the 3 tires available in 295x35x19.

How was the road noise if you can recall. I have heard only negative reviews in regards to road noise. However the stock yoko advans are noisy and only have gotten noisier as they wear down.

Im approaching 18k and the fronts on the outsides are completely worn down.

I am now considering Continental Extreme Contact DW. Looks like a good compromise, much cheaper then the advans, should have longer life and should be plenty grip for a tt daily.

Any thoughts?

The wear on the KDW's are really good. I actually put 40K on my fronts and they have a good 10K left in them I bet. They are wearing faster on the insides though but thats to be expected. I replaced the rears once but they have held up incredibly well I would say.

Road noise...now that's another story. These are fairly loud. I would say there are much quieter tires available. However, again Im impressed with the wear rate and grip though. I should add warm weather grip. When cold they break loose fairly easy. But not any worse than any other tire designed for summer grip.

FYI. I am still running these on my 370. I swapped them from the 350. However, after I get my twins on ill be smoking these off in no time to go with something better. Which is why im in on this thread.

*Looking like the R888's*

To not have the Michelin PSSs on that list is a bad call. They are in the top 4 imo. That's from driving them on a track and feeling them grip turns and stop on a dime.

I have run thru 2 sets of DZ II and one set of RS3 and found the DZ II more consistent in that last 6000 klics of their life (my tyres typically last around 22-24000klics).

The RS3's lost grip dramatically when cold and past 3/4's life ... needed to be warmed up before they had sufficient heat to generate grip, whereas the Dunlops held grip almost right to the end of their life.

I also ran thru a set of Kumho KU36 which were good, but not in the same league as the Dunlop or RS3 at their peak.

I have just ordered a set of Falken FK453 as these are the only tyre I can get in 275/40R18 for the rear which I need with my 4.08:1 final drive gears that are going onto the car this week.

The ZII tyres coming off the car will go onto my Z32 TT to finally wear them out.

I'm really happy with the DZII and also the RS3 up to the point where mileage gets to 18,000klics when they seem to have heat cycled out and get slippery UNLESS that get a big rev to warm them up (which our local police do not like).
