In any car when you are sitting at idle no matter where is the air filter located, The AIT will rise sense the MAF tubes are are also in the engine compartment, our testing shows no real disadvantage of having the filter there, also the keep in mind that the factory manifolds s are very well insulated. all the AIT sensor we placed at the IC inlet ,IC outlet and At the MAF sensors showed identical reading just like the stage one kit where is the filter is located in the Bumper of the car.

I have seen and experienced factory cats lasting over 70k, of course there is many variables that will effect that. As for the radiator, We will offer 4 version:

-One that will be only bigger radiator that will expect the factory fans and another One that will have internal heat exchanger built in that can be used for engine oil or trans oil cooling

-The other two models will have the Spal HD 2400 CFM fans that can plug to a fan controller so you can control when the fans will come on and off, Of course with and without the heat exchanger option .

So us Stage 1 guys are making like ~400-430whp and something like 320-340tq. Stage2 gets a big bump in HP but only seeing a small bump in tq numbers, 365 and 350 on the first 2 dyno's. Is that to be expected with an SC setup or is that just with our cars in general?

Also, any word on an upgrade path from Stage1 yet Sam?
Generally Sc cars have lower torque numbers then twin turbo cars, The stage 2 can do 400 RWTQ but you will have to spin it faster, so defiantly there is room for expansion .

As for the stage 1 Kit upgrades, We just need to finalize the pricing. We will have two options to offer, one option will offer a compressor housing/ intake upgrade and the other will be upgrading the charger to the 91 trim.

Here is some pics

Sam

A lot of good builds here.
We are not saying that we are 100 % certain that the LTH's wont fit, Based on what we know we think they wont. So until somebody really try to do it we wont know. I think We have said the same thing a million time so far.

Thank you

You guys have done a great job at everything you guys do. What I like is the attention to detail and how you guys do not rush to put out a product.

I do have a few more questions about the radiator setup. I am sorry for asking the questions if they have already been answered.

What kind of results have you guys gotten with the new radiator setup? Will you guys be making a new thread to present the radiator as a new option to oil cooling? Also what kind of pricing should we expect?

It looks like it may be above the splash guard so unless you submerge your car I would think you would be OK. Maybe someone with the kit or Sam can chime in.

I have the stg 1 kit on my G. the air intake is in the fake break duck behind the trans cooler on my car. this is a low location.

1) I drive my car as a DD in rain snow and everything. Not one issue with water in 1.5 years with the kit. Now will i drive threw 2' of standing water? NO. But i would not have done that with the car when it was stock so no issue for me.

2) cuz i know it will be asked. No the trans cooler infront of the intake does not hamper the cold air going into the intake. it is only a trans cooler people not a blow tourch.

Would there be any point to a larger radiator if the OEM fans dont come on until 215*F anyways?

Any info on pricing for the upgraded radiator and the version with the fans?

Like the intake in your avatar! Are the intake horns' length adjustable?

The air filter is located pretty low, but i doubt it is any lower then the injen long tube cold air intake. altho with the horizontal placement of the filter, there might be a bigger chance of it getting wet. Physically the filter sits right above the frame, pretty much right beside the cat and is clearly visible thru the passenger side rim.
As for if it will take in water, we will have to wait and see, i'm the one that will be doing most of the cold weather testing for this kit.

Of course. Bigger radiator means more heat capacity through the combination of more surface area and more coolant capacity. Even with the fans set the same, a bigger radiator should do a better job of handling the heat load when pushing the car. It probably would have little to no effect on idling or mild driving around town, but that's not where people are running into trouble anyway.
