tried to get some track times i want to capital today but on my first run the car went into limp mode in 3 gear so i will not be back until i get an oil cooler

but even after i let the car cool down i could not rev pass 5000rpms so i want home

now my exhaust note sounds a little fun i will chk the spark plugs in the morning and reset the ecu

Nissan370 12-21-2011 07:02 AM

dropped down to stillens 9lb pulley and a retune

seeing about 10psi on the top-end

new number 480/350 up from 450/330

will post dyno

What type of dyno are you using. I did 405 on a mustang dyno which I know reads low so I would like to estimate what I would be doing on a dynojet just as a reference.

i need to get a stillen kit asap

I love Stillen. But if/when I go FI its gonna be GTM.

dyno is on a dyno pack

http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l1.../home009-1.jpg
just touching 480 mark at redline
much better torque under the curve maybe do to tuning the car for more torque
boost gauge was reading 10-10.5 at redline

old dyno
boost gauge was reading 8-9psi at redline

Sorry, don't take this the wrong way, and I'm not sure if you are aware of it, but the dyno graph that you are showing is off of a Dyna pack hub-dyno. Also, it clearly shows that it is reading flywheel horsepower and torque...not wheel horsepower and torque.

It is not a Dynojet. On JE Import's website, it clearly says DYNA PACK.

:icon14: wow. just wow.

Dam sry your right dyno pack not dynojet. The numbers
Are at the wheel or hub

the dyno is connected to your hub but it's reading flywheel HP not actual WHP

Nissan370 12-23-2011 07:19 AM

Na I talk to the guys at Je imports about. That when I saw it he said its at the wheel not the motor

Think about what a gtm kit is putting down at the wheel at 10psi some guys hate stillen kits but the vortech blower has proven its worth my last 3 cars use v2 and it works

All said and done dynos give an idea were your car sits but your trap speed at the track gives a better real world of you cars ability

Hub dyno doesn't take into consideration rotational mass of wheel

Nissan370 12-23-2011 09:40 AM

Not many dynos read the same but it's not flywheel hp it's power at the hub
We all know dyno pack read alittle high and mustang dynos read low it's just a tool

But weiboy thinks that is at the flywheel and it's not 10psi is 10 psi vortech or rotex
No way gtm kit at 10psi is making over 500whp but the stillen at 10psi is only making 480 at the flywheel just not true
