I have it installed now.
Today I will take some test and adjust the final setting.
In the first experiment the car has stuttered.
I have now the spring force with 3 washers, which are included in the kit, increases.

The sound is awesome. Zzzzzschhhhhhh from over 3,500 rpm :driving:

A disadvantage but I have found.
When you drive down a mountain, with over 4,000 rpm
let the BOV constant the air out.
Because the compressor provides a constant charge air
when the throttle is closed and no acceleration is given.

A short movie follows....

BTW:
I have shortened the vacuum hose.
Already 5 centimeter change the previous setting.
The turning the setting is somewhat complicated in installed condition.
It is very difficult to turn the adjusting nut.
Almost no space available. If you have big arms, it is almost impossible.
For that, we have our women :tup::tup::tup:

LukasC 05-18-2014 02:51 AM

Ahh very cool man! Is the down the mountain constant blow off annoying? Thank god for women!

I'm not so sure!
Maybe I'll paint it black ...

But somehow the metallic, functional aluminum looks good too?

I do not know yet ...

Here is a closer view:

I couldn't figure out what those washers were for lol. I just installed the bov and didn't bother with them.

ANMVQ 05-20-2014 03:30 PM

Ivo leave it man , That look ROCKs, I never got to see mine but I wouldn't have painted it, Sleeper look enough. Most people would think its a AC condenser or trans cooler , LOL

future370zzz 05-20-2014 03:45 PM

If you paint it black, it's going to get rock chips and looks bad after awhile. Maybe you should polish it up? hahaha

But I honestly have to say:
These brothers run a bit better (all over 550 hp)

LukasC 06-02-2014 12:53 AM

Nice dude! You know we can hang with godzillas now lol u think about it they are 550 crank and we are 500 roughly crank and they have 500 lbs on us so that makes the power to weight pretty dang close!

TKomodo 06-04-2014 11:20 AM

which BOV are you guys referreing to? I must have missed it along the way

ANMVQ 06-04-2014 11:33 AM

Turbosmart Kompact Dual Port Blow-Off Valve. The one I was running also, It recycles and vents to atmosphere :)

The new big head exchanger serves as a splash guard.
It covers almost 95% of the front opening.

Pictures will follow as soon as I have the front back from the paint shop

Can you run it open to atmosphere? I thought that would mess with the map sensors and shut the car off? I tried it but the car would not stay idling.

ANMVQ 06-05-2014 09:25 AM

The BPV does both I had no issues at all when I was running it. It recycles and vents. The heat exchanger is from Frozenboost.com :) I really disliked the Stillen one

Air to Water Heat Exchanger

So your saying you can run the turbos smart open to atmosphere? What about the spring do I have to put the setting on hard?

Gussy, check out this thread:

http://www.the370z.com/forced-induct...illen-bov.html Page 4 is what you want

Most people are getting it to vent 50/50 or a ratio of some sorts and not mess up the idling. Stillen even chimed in on it. Need to have the dualport bpv and rotate the top either harder/softer and test for idling or stall issues.

My tuner was not able to do it on my car, it's full re-circ. Let me know if you figure it out and if it messes with anything.

I got it to work it it sounds pretty nice! Kinda like a turbo kit. I turned it all the way to hard and back it out an 1/8th turn back to soft. Idle is good and blows after every shift. Now I'm doing the frozen boost heat exchanger tomorrow night.

You just have to change the setting of the BOV (soft to hard)
Note the installation instructions from Turbosmart

BTW: In my case I have 3 washers mounted and almost screwed on hard

mikey1600 07-11-2014 10:47 AM

okay thanks,

also how big is the unit? I've noticed my standard one sits very very close to the belt, is this unit skinnier or larger in size?

I'm guessing it's either the same or smaller as I haven't seen anyone say about having to change position by extending/shortening the hose that comes off the charge pipe.

It's just a bit bigger.
No problem with space

ANMVQ 07-11-2014 11:09 AM

I had no problems with mine clearing the belt either.
