I had a issue just like yours. Thought the car was over heating when it really wasn't. was the temp sensor the dealer said. they replaced it and never again happen. At night or with the weather cool it would work fine but when it got hot out for some damn reason it would stick or do what ever it's not sapose to do lol maybe check that

The outside temperature gauge has nothing to do with the engine temperature gauge. The external temperature gauge gives faulty readings when it is moved from its stock location, i.e. to install a intercooler or an oil cooler. It needs to be in direct fresh air several inches away from other hot components.

The engine temperature sensor (coolant) is threaded into the water outlet piece. To find it, follow the hose that goes from the radiator cap towards the engine, away from the radiator, the piece that you arrive at is the water outlet pipe. Move your hand a couple of inches to the right and you will see the sensor with wires sticking out. The sensor is fairly fragile, so if there is a chance it has taken a beating I would just replace it. A new sensor is $25.

My bad man. I have been pretty busy preparing for this deployment. Looking like this summer now. I am working a deal for a TT install and maybe some wheels. Sorry for the off-topic...............

I am running gtm stg2 on my car and am in Dubai. So u can say it's the same climate, and yes I agree with u, by far one of the best kits specially wghen it comes to those small components like clamps and rubbers... All top notch.

Anyways with regards to ur issue, I had the same problem till I blessed the system proerly and I can drive it on summer withalmost 48 to 50 degree's without any overheating issue... The only overheat issue am facing is when when I push it all the way to redline from 2 to 5 ... The more I get into gears the temp goes up but once I let of the gas pedal or sto the temp goes down quickly,!!!! Can't figure out why!!!!

Use a nismo thermostat. And make sure to get an oil cooler.

Again bleed ur system properly and I guess ur issue will be solved.

Well yes guys q8 is a short cut for Kuwait and maybe ur right abt the sensor being faulty I'll look into that later , and I did change the thermostat and coolent and added an additive as well , I have no issue going in wot wht so ever , the issue only occurred when I was stopping for 15min or so , it went 3dots above normal , but it never did it again , am on the process soon to change the radiator , and do some bleeding and maybe change the coolant as well although it's brand new , and I will give it a try again when it gets hotter in the 40's or 50's and I will let u know . By the way who ever is in Dubai wht coolant did u use ? Thanks
