we can confidently say low 500's would last a good 40-50k miles, assuming the car gets maintained and taken care of very well.
That's really not bad at all. Aside from Supra's I don't know of too many cars in the price range of the Z that can withstand close to twice the amount of power from the factory on stock internals. I guess the 4G63 DSM's were good like that, but they were far smaller motors.

Just out of curiosity, what do you guys do with 400+ rwhp? Drag racing? Highway pulls? My angle is auto-x and road courses/time attacks so most of my mods will be brakes, suspension, etc. The car is stock and I'll only be doin bolt-ons and keeping it all motor. I consider myself an intermediate level competitive driver and even from the factory this car is terrific in terms of power. What's more, on a day to day basis I dont really find anywhere to punch it for more than a few hundred feet. Idk what i'd do with all that power. Plus it's rwd power. Even in a GT-R around a track you need to be a fairly advanced driver to get the most out of it and have multiple laps to even get used to the car and how much power it has.

I'm not disparaging anyone's desire to go FI and make a buttload of power, but I am supremely confident that very few, if any people driving cars with this much horsepower can do much more than hold on for dear life in a straight line. That being said, if straight line power is the goal, why not get large displacement american V8 that makes more power out of the box, is cheaper to mod, and mod for mod makes more power? Again, to each his own. Just wondering about the thought processes here.
