personal opinion though here.. if people got the 370z because they wanted a super fast straight line car.. then they got the wrong car to begin with. Now if this

I agree with you 100% on that one. The Z was never meant to be a 1/4 car. I remember reading a magazine when they put the Z on a super diet and it was beating GT3's stock. Then they twin turbocharged it but it was still not enough against a modified GTR. It was a second off from the GTR's lap times.

The GTR is better then the Z even TT'd with the Z on the stock boost...the GTR should win all day against the Z on a course and a course will show more then just the cars HP. driver is more involved, suspension and braking play a bigger part, weight distribution along with the drivetrain, camber, etc.... To me, I am not really into drag racing. Everyone can drive a straight line...it's all about how much money you put into it. After having autocrossed for the first time, I found out I suck at driving...lol. I need lots of practice. I have not gone road racing since I do not have an oil cooler installed yet. |

I read on import tuner, the greedy 370z TT, beat 2 or 3 GT-Rs on the track, but it could be pro driver vs amuture driver.

lol, i was pretty bad my first 1 too but i caught on really quick. I remember my first couple of runs and I got lost but then someone who was experienced went with me on my practice runs. This was with my scion tc I had. I still havent gotten an oil cooler so I have been sticking to the drags. If the 370z was about 500WHP then they were around 8psi (stock 5-6 psi is about 420WHP). Im sure they were both running at the same psi to make things even(ish). Kevin: like you said it could have been the drivers. Maybe they did something with the 370z or the GTR's were fresh off the lot stock. Remember, the competition NIKK mentioned was between a TT 370z and MODIFIED GTR... So maybe our car TT'd can hold up against a stock GTR... try youtube.com its your friend.modified needs to do a SC 370z and a TT 370z track comp efus is correct, but im not going to let that stop me

If you want a fast drag car without putting your life into it then get the new 5.0, Z06, R8 (V8 or bigger) etc... |
