Default Power Goal.

Hey guys, I'm new here on the370z.com, and I figured I'd start by asking a question that I've been trying to find the answer to.

It's guaranteed that in the future (sooner rather than later hopefully) I will purchase a twin turbo kit for my Z. I've been looking all over the place and finding all sorts of different cars with TT kits making different power.

Most of them are making somewhere in the 450Whp range, a few are making more. I know for example there is a white nismo Z for sale on the site making 490whp at 7 PSI with the stage 2 GTM kit. It also make 560whp at 11psi.

From what i gather this is all on stock internals, even stock clutch!
My goal would be more similar to the white Z, I would be perfectly happy with those numbers. But if I were to go that route eventually, what kind of supporting mods am I looking at? Would the 600cc injectors that come with the kit support that much power? If i'm not mistaken, it comes with a wallbro 255 fuel pump, I am wondering the same about that.

An aftermarket exhaust is obviously a must, I had one custom made here with 3" piping, and I am running test pipes already. Boost controller was thinking about the greddy profec, but not 100% yet. Have a clutch on order from zspeed already, (southbend stage 4, with flywheel and heavy duty CSC)

Anyway, any and all input is appreciated, I would love to put down similar numbers in my Z!

Thanks for the replies, guys. Although before I speak to someone who actually sells the products, I was hoping to get a few opinions from other Z enthusiasts. Hope you understand what I mean.

I just saw a new post of a blue Z putting down about 550whp at 11psi. Again, I assume this is on the injectors and fuel pump that comes with the stage 2 kit. Is this safe to do? 550whp on 600cc injectors, on a consistent basis?

I have a free flowing exhaust already, how much of a difference do you think the downpipe with external wastegates have as opposed to the internal watershed that the kit comes with? (haven't double checked, it does come with wastegates, right?)

Again, thanks for any and all input!

The GTM TT kits are as modular as I have seen. You can do internal or external WG depending on your preference. The white NISMO that you speek of was STORMCROW's old ride? If so, I got to see it in person and it was a beast.

Ya, that's the one I was talking about. I'm sure it is a beast! Those are some awesome numbers!
That's why I'm curious to know what the difference is between his buil and a few other builds on the site that are making 50+ less whp! Is It a matter of the tune?

It's all in the tune... Sam is the man when it comes to tuning the VQ motor. All of his builds are top notch and make power... External wastegates are louder if you go that route. Check their kits to see what injectors they are running. Alot of people are running 600cc injectors just fine.

To answer your question, 600cc injectors shouldn't be a problem. Some have gone over 600whp on those injectors. As far as fuel system goes, other than the 600cc injectors, 255lph fuel pump and ecu flash, everything else is stock.
