All the videos I've seen, even TT setups on dynos, you can never hear that rush of air sound(BOV and recirc setups), only exhaust and the noise of the rollers.
I completely agree. I'm hoping this SC from GTM will sound like the m90 SC does.
Here is a vid of an M90. Listen to the 47second mark

I think that gear whine is annoying, I like the fact that the Rotrex supercharger doesn't have the gear whine. It seems like the Rotrex S/C only provides that nice turbo whistle sound.

Come on now...the effect on the cars center of gravity would be negligible even if you tracked it. Your heat argument is also kinda silly too since the gtm sc sits right next to the biggest heat source in the entire car, the headers. Own oil cooler = added weight and another possible point of failure. You are right about one thing though, it does look stock!

Forgot to look at the pro's of having the sc where stillen put it, such as: shortest possible route from the sc to the manifold = very responsive throttle, easy to access, no pressure drop in the intercooler, less weight in piping and gets more airflow to keep the unit cool.

Gotta look at all pro's and con's man. Just sayin'

hey every little bit counts especially when your dealing with added weight on the front end..actually the sc sits in front and is lower than the manifold keeping the heat shield intact..the oil cooler only wieghs a couple pounds at most (its small)...didn't one of the Stillen sc's actually blow a seal while on track?...i dont have anything against Stillen's product and i weighed the pros and cons for both..i just decided to go with GTM

NOpe not one so far. Like I say the only issue was the hot start issue that I got sent the fix for as soon as i told Sam. Only thing i added was the Navtool so I could listen to Music while watching the Camp 2 as well as getting my Nav working again.

I have no idea what that issue means or whether or not it would potentially affect me. Yet anyway, is that fix now included with GTM's SC kits as standard?

lol. the hot start issue is a problem that occurs after the car is driven for a bit and then turned off. then the heat from the engine soaks into all the engine components. Now try to start the car and it spits and sputters and sounds like it is having a really hard time to start. Ya Sam should have this figured out now. However if you do get this issue as mine did n ot present itself right away, Sam will get you a flash to correct it.
