lol Lou, I knew you'd have something to say.
I like(d) them as well, but it's common-accepted truth that they're not healthy for high-volume turbochargers or even some stockers - they cause unnecessary compressor surge/flutter in some applications, and quite often leak under high boost. 2 SSQV's is actually a really good setup to eliminate flutter and surge (plus it sounds bad ***), but I'd still rather have something else if I were parting together a kit. My point is: Synapse Synchronic BOV's are indeed legit. I wouldn't call them an HKS knock off at all.

![]() I also have a 2008 G37S, and I'm about to order the same kit. Looking forward to continued results. I have an auto and so I'll need a few supporting mods in that department, but it sure sounds like it's a go. Thanks for the post. ![]() Regarding the Synchronic BOV: I had a Synchronic on my Subaru STI and after changing and futzing with settings, it worked PERFECTLY. Yes, there are a few adjustments, and you DO need to plumb back into the intake, especially with the MAF. It is quieter if you do so, too. (For me: A good thing. Others: Not so important) The low throttle response was immediate and gave zero flutter, which I couldn't lose with the TIAL. I'd be giving those a try once again. Glad to know the TIALS are OK, though. Don't know anything about the other brand. Jim |

No - none when any throttle is applied. Just when in first or second and getting up to about 1-2 psi at 3k then shifiting. It's only a quick, momentary flutter that sounds like a little surge. Any more rpm's or boost and it blows off completley.
