Thanks! Yea, I'm getting a list of stuff together to get it all done at once (gauges, EVC, AFK, clutch/flywheel, etc.). I think the EVC 6 has dual boost settings, so I may opt for low/high along the ballpark of 375-450whp. Speaking of which, are you still using a stock clutch/flywheel?

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing final results, charts, videos, etc. of daily driving experience.

I want to say off the top of my head with out adding the numbers up it came to about 15000. That was for the GTM stage 2 twin turbo turn key kit+HKS exhaust+GTM resonated test pipes+GTM competition oil cooler+HKS EVC-S boost controller shipping it to Maryland and having hill's garage looking at it.
Didn't have to purchase the tune since it is part of the turnkey kit with the gtm twin turbo.

Actually all in all I am glade I sent it to hill's garage. They came highly recommended from SAM and I would rate my overall experience with them to be very pleasant. The owner Frank Hill really knows his stuff. Like I mean he really knew my car and was very familiar with the GTM kits and he installed a decent amount between the 350 and the G37. Me and SAM didn't want to send the car to a shop that was unfamiliar with his product because we didn't want to pay them to learn it. Hill's garage was also awesome at providing me updates. Everyday I was getting pictures of them doing work on my car and they also provided pictures of things they found wrong. They were straight up and were honest to me through the process. Now I am not saying the shop you are telling me about isn't good just wanted someone that was a master tech on Nissan and is familiar with GTM but for basic maintenance I will give them a shot. As far as major tasks my car is either going to Sam or Hill's Garage since they both have been standing beside me and contain unyielding knowledge of our cars. Thank you for letting me know about them the only place I heard about around us for imports was millennium auto sports and from what I have heard there track record is shaky.

Alright for boost controller I went with the EVC-S. It also has two modes just like the 6 but it only cost about 350. For the most part it will do everything the 6 can such as maintaining boost pressure, drop off, response and peak hold. I didn't go with the 6 because personally I don't need all the other junk that comes with it. You can get buy with out getting a boost gauge because both have built in boost gauges with them. I want to keep the OEM look and didn't want to go the route of having gauges everywhere so right now I am saving up some money and I am going to go with the Blitz unit that will display them through my navi screen. Originally I was going to go with the HKS Camp II but from research and reading the Blitz one is better and gives more bang for buck. All the additional reading I will want will require the purchase of additional sensors as where the blitz has everything for a price of 600. This is just some food for thought.

Now to answer your question I am still running the stock flywheel and clutch. When i was planning on doing this the original idea was to replace them, but after reading about the people when they did this they were having slave issues and had to revert back to the stock ones made me change my mind. Also since there was no fix to this issue I didn't want to buy it and then have to worry about it one day failing. Also with the HP your goal is I would think you wouldn't need one. When they come out with a upgrade that fixes the issue and my stock one is burn up then i will move to a better one, but as long as mine is holding I feel there is no need to replace it since on cars that have been driving with this set up for about 20k miles are still going strong. Thats just food for thought to shave off a couple thousand until when you really need it.

Thank you for your thoughts, Frank. We're pretty much in the same ballpark of $15k for parts and labor.

SZ offers attractive clutch/flywheel packages with CSC upgrade. It is still very new, so only time will tell. IIRC, they are using this product on their TT 370Z.

Yes sir you are correct. We have others running the setup as well with great success thus far. Our Z34 TT will be hitting the drag strip as soon as I recover from my surgery/therapy.

You know what you are right about that. For some reason that slipped my mind and I actully have been following there new clutch. I am sorry I feel like I gave you bad info. As for me not going to get that right now is because like you said it is still very new. Didn't want to spend more money on a part that might possibly fail. Although there setup does look great and when the reviews come out and they give me that big warm and fuzzy I am going to look in to buying it. Just didn't want to be the tester in this one lol.

I am confused. If you buy the turnkey kit, you do not have to dyno tune your car at all? Is it really a plug and play? Or did you have to take it to a tuner to have him tune it.

If you do not have to tune it then I am amazed.

Alright where to begin with this. The turn key kit comes with a tune from SAM. Sam has these cars figured out well enough that he can send you the tune via email and there you go you flash your ecu. Ok now for the dyno tune you really don't have to do it since with the cipher program you can run live data and verify tune there by a/f correction bank 1 and 2. I wanted to put it on the dyno to see what my car was making and also because I have no AFR guage at the moment. So buy just putting it on the dyno I can verify my afr and verify my tune is good. Like I said you don't have to do this but i recomend it, a dyno is a amazing tool. As far as paying someone to tune your car, Nahh you wont need to do that. Hope this helps.
