I know I've asked this before, but if you go with a stroker kit can you raise your redline running 12.5:1 compression? My mechanic has an e46 m3. He built

I know I've asked this before, but if you go with a stroker kit can you raise your redline running 12.5:1 compression? My mechanic has an e46 m3. He built the motor (no stroker or sleeves) and he's running 12.5:1 compression. He said anything higher then that will require race fuel and he has his redline LIMITED to 8500. Nissan saw it to fit the Z with a 9K tach, I've love to get it as close to that as I can on a built short or long block.
