I love the performance but damn is that thing ugly as hell.

danielw 01-03-2011 07:44 AM

I really don't understand why people say this car is ugly. It's a little over the top, but it's a show car and its executed perfectly. And for the record we don't know how it performs yet. Can't wait to see vids.

RCZ 01-03-2011 08:46 AM

Its the wheels man, everything is great and then the wheels come out of nowhere. I guess that's the point? To be shocking? You can be shocking and look good though...IMO they stick out too much and the color is just wrong. If they did the same wheels in gunmetal or maybe even another bright color or ,hell, maybe even in neochro it might work. Gunmetal with a neochro lip. I don't know. I don't mean to be a debbie downer, but its an awesome build except for the wheels.

I guess if you look at it from the point of view that the car has to be striking and memorable to be a good show car then they definitely got the job done.

KaienZ34 01-03-2011 09:06 AM

He'll have new wheels on it soon enough.;)

Chris_1 01-03-2011 10:45 AM

Some serious performance, great to see it on the mag but I agree on the wheels. They are great wheels, just color is mehhh. Bullitt, I swear if you dont have one vid of you just smoking the tires when that car is running, I will hunt you down.

That car is waiting to be beaten on when its done, dont let it be a show car only PLEASE.

Sorry, didnt see this till now.

180 on the highway and normal street driving / 200 in traffic @ 75 degree weather.

If it drops into the 50's I have trouble getting temp to 180.
If it goes above 85 it behaves very similar to when temp is 75.

One thing I've noticed lately is that timing in NOT being pulled regardless of engine oil temp. That leads me to believe that intake temps are way more important for VVEL parameters than oil temp.

Guys please understand the wheel color was adjusted for print. It is a candy color and as most of you know capturing te essence of a candy color in a camera is difficult much less capture it in print because you are limited to certain color spectrums. Now everyone who has seen these in person loves them! We will be doing a new custom one off wheel once the wide body is finished and the car is back in Atlanta.

bullitt5897 01-03-2011 03:12 PM

A little teaser about some upcoming updates in the next month:

New additions to the bodywork (more race oriented stuff)
New audio system! Courtesy of Vibe audio
New seats and interior
Amuse ti harness bar

Coming months after it comes home:

New idea and concept to the concave wheel game! One off wheels with black/bronze theme! 11" up front and 13/14" in rear! Deep concave and massive visible lips! No more wheel faces to the edge of your rim and calling it deep dish! ;)

DIGItonium 01-03-2011 06:34 PM

Mike, do you have any videos and photos to bring to the table for the new year mentioned over a week ago? :)

bullitt5897 01-03-2011 09:01 PM

They are coming guys ;)

JB-370z 01-03-2011 09:13 PM

Let me fix that for you... concave with a lip and LIGHT, and on the burnout video they will have to be cheerios unless you put a switch in the brake pedal sensor wire.

RCZ 01-05-2011 10:12 AM

Why not some dymags with a custom colored face?

:excited: That would look interesting with the tires that I wanna use when my RE-11's are over and done with......I'm loving the tread design of the Vredesteins Ultrac Sessanta. (yeah, I know.....I'm easily impressed with tread!) :icon17:

Well, comparatively to everything else you're doing, they aren't THAT awful. Its like $6-$7k for a set. I've seen Lambo fitment HRE go for 10-12k without being anything special.

I think they would look awesome on your car...and they weigh like 9lbs haha.

1slow370 01-06-2011 04:55 AM

does anybody know which tires come with the traction like it's glued to the ground with real 100% Jesus spit? Mike be needing a set soon.

JB-370z 01-06-2011 08:09 PM

I thought with the new year we get new videos?? :(

The ultimate goal is to perhaps tune something that will break the 2000 horsepower range if the engine allows for it.

Thanks guys!

Honestly, I would say some where north of $160k maybe around $175~$200k+ thats just me ball parking. To do the same thing I did from GTM alone is over a $100K job!!!:eekdance:

SPOHN 01-07-2011 11:12 AM

So $100K job + $40K car = $200K car? I assume this is exclusive of parts...

Vegitto-kun 01-07-2011 01:59 PM

You don't NEED it. Just need to be willing take whatever exhaust you have and modify it a bit to match where the tip exits are.

DIGItonium 01-07-2011 03:12 PM

Mike & Sam,

Can we get status on how the manifolds are coming along and estimates to completion of a retrofit kit? I plan to drop off the car for the Stage 1 upgrade with Baker Tuning this June. FsP still has my plenum, and I've spent several weeks waiting to get it back, which is one big hold up at the moment. No rush on you guys, though :)
