Yes we will offer an upgraded strut bar to work with the GTR manifold. As for oil changes, nothing spacial that you will have to do beside taking the plastic cover to get to the engine fill cap .

Ah... How about the throttle bodies? Is the GT-R one in place temporarily for fitment purpose?

fstrnldr 09-22-2010 09:36 AM

i believe the throttle bodies are the same ... just inverted on the VR engine vs the VQ.

SAM@GTM 09-22-2010 01:12 PM

Those are the 370Z throttle body in that pic, they bolt right up to the GTR manifold.

Sweet! :excited: I'm guessing the VR38 engine cover can be cut to clear the oil cap. Thanks again for your hard work. I'm definitely looking forward to the next few months to get the VR38 manifold and GTM Stage 1 kit installed.

WarmAndSCSI 09-22-2010 04:55 PM

No sure why you'd want the cover... that's a pretty manifold if you polish or powdercoat it!

JB-370z 09-22-2010 05:51 PM

Cannot get over how sexy these things are........I will get the GTR mani. for sure.

bullitt5897 09-28-2010 05:59 PM

Just saw the car today... Omg it's sexy!

Sam

Sam told me how much time and effort went into making this work. I think it will all pay off because I know a bunch of people going to get em' when the production model comes into effect and I am one of those people. Thanks Bullitt for being the test subject. ;)
The thing I like anout these is if the silver is too boring for you, you can customize the color, even polish is possible. Not sure if Sam will offer custom options but the mani. is a work of art no matter how you look at it. :tiphat:

Edit: I would love to see a carbon mani. cover on that bad boy ;)

Lmao!!! Omg you crack me up JB

DIGItonium 09-29-2010 12:21 AM

So it turns out the lower manifold needed to be replaced? It makes sense considering how Nissan reversed the orientation and shape of the runners. I'm eagerly waiting for this before pulling the trigger to get the FI project started. My VR38 intake collector is probably collecting dust at FsP. :-P

1slow370 09-29-2010 02:48 AM

You'll need some kind of sticker or license plate or something that says PSHIGH somewhere when you get it running.

dnasty370z 09-29-2010 09:11 AM

Sorry Im a little late on this thread is both the upper and lower mani's that gtm is making specifically for FI motors or can someone see any benefits out a N/A motor as well?If you could PM me a response thank's guys?

bullitt5897 09-29-2010 09:53 AM

Dnasty this manifold is completely untested and this car is the very first car to recieve the conversion we will have a better idea of performance in about a week or two. Right now we are running around trying to get everything on the car for the photoshoot today. I will post up some teasers tonight ;)

Last time I checked it was a public "informative" place where people share ideas and information. I might be wrong though

bullitt5897 09-29-2010 09:44 PM

The only reason I shared the price is because people need to understand the costs involved with the custom exhaust. This can be replicated however it's gonna be loud and expensive lol. The car hasn't even been cranked and I am already excited!!!
