Everything looks great...except for the wavy headliner near the windshield.

Yea it needs to be fixed. Btw the article has been pulled to fix some issues. It will go back up soon.

Are those actual numbers (1000+ WHP) or just estimated at this point? I want to see a video of those dyno runs and some street fun. I love the sound of a high-output turbo V6.

+1 Any dyno plots? Or just an educational guess at what you think/want it to be?

Gunzero 10-20-2010 04:05 PM

In the end this is gonna cost 40k+ to duplicate.. :ughdance:

vipor 10-20-2010 04:16 PM

I can't get that PASMAG link to work.. nor find your car on their site.

Trust me yall don't want to know how much money has gone into not only this kit but other products you guys will have the chance to get... A lot of blood sweat and tears are going into this... Sam and I both have a lot on the line to get this to work.

This is what is on there now. Are you going with something wider in the rear ?

RCZ 10-21-2010 08:08 AM

lol the best part of the entire car is the "support wildlife" plate hahaha. That thing looks pretty awesome. No CF hatch??

vipor 10-21-2010 08:59 AM

Looks mean

IMO you need a CF hatch and an overlay for your roof. (Blacktop.)

Does it really matter? I wouldn't mind driving a prius for a year if I knew my car was going to come back with a 1000hp and a wide bodykit lol

JB-370z 10-22-2010 09:20 PM

Bullitt/Sam when are we going to get some more pics and vids in this mother??!!

AAAhhh....Must be waiting for SEMA around the corner.

.

DIGItonium 10-23-2010 09:57 PM

Bump for status... so are we waiting for SEMA announcement when the retrofit kits will be ready? Man I'm debating between SC and TT, but will probably lean towards TT despite not having the extra oomph under 3k RPM. It's hard to say since I'm usually hovering under 3k daily driven.

JB-370z 10-24-2010 11:00 AM

turbo, Digi its a no brainer if you have the means ;)

If you got the cash TT is the way to go. But as i don't i'd be happy with the GTM stg 2 SC kit (that's what i'm saving for right now). I just hope i won't have to open the motor or trans(7AT) just bolt on the kit and time for dyno tune. I'm not looking to make monster power just up to 550hp (at the engine) as it says on there website. Then again what do i know:roflpuke2:

bullitt5897 10-24-2010 03:20 PM

DIGItonium 10-25-2010 07:13 PM

Wow, so SEMA is next week? I wonder if Sam has birthday deals... you know, 11/05 [nudge].

Any plans, Mike?

bullitt5897 10-26-2010 11:41 AM

I have a whole week to get up all the content from the show plus I have a LOT of people to meet with while I am there  maybe some new products might be in stored for you guys :D

induetime 10-27-2010 02:30 AM

I have been following this for a couple of weeks now, but I just registered to the forum. Thanks for sharing your build! I'm looking forward to seeing the progress & Sema pics.

bullitt5897 10-27-2010 08:37 AM

thanks induetime! So I talked with Sam last night and the car will not be running before SEMA... SAM and team have been working hard to improve on the GTR intake manifold design!!!!!!! when he told me my jaw dropped! From our conversation last night they should be finishing up the mods this week and will be getting the intake ready for CAD and 3D scanning when I get back from SEMA. A week or so after that I will have the new intake and then testing begins.

My only wish is to have my car back before christmas *fingers crossed*

Thats great news Mike. I am sure you will have it back before then. I am sure if you ask Sam he will make it happen. Now I got a question for you well questions. Isn't the intake manifold on the stock Z the main reason why we cant go over 12 psi. If so is sam going to make one like yours to start marketing? I know thats more of a Sam question but I know you guys talk alot more then me and him. Last, Sam tore apart your engine, what do the internals look like, meaning what are they made out of, meaning are they forged. Just wondering if this car can handle more then 12 psi, or can we use 12 psi more often then a few times. personally I only use 12 psi when I know I am going up against a tough car. In other words I get scared when I turn the boost that High because I am afraid I am going to blow the engine.
Thanks MIke
Frank

Hey Toner buddy!

Ok, my intake on the car right now is the prototype for a new intake going to be made ;) I cant go into much detail because our conversation was very brief on the subject.

Sam did not tear apart my engine however, he did have a spare 4.5L stroker short block laying around and we made all of the mods to that motor. from my understanding the motor can handle the stress levels that of a car putting out 12 psi. However, your longevity may be at risk with that motor. from my understanding the internals in our motor are slightly beefier if not the same as the 3.5HR motors. From their history they are fine up to 12psi...

hope that helps:tup:
