g37 mobbin, nice car and hope you get it back soon!

You might like to know, according to Run D.M.C., the word is ILLIN' RUN D.M.C. - YOU BE ILLIN' LYRICS

Or:
Quote:
Contrary to most of the definitions found here, this is the correct one:
'ILL' : Adjective meaning 'wild' or 'crazy'. Not always derogatory, but used when something may be so outrageous so as to be unruly.
'ILLIN': Adjective or Verb. Lunatic behaviour. See above.
"The guy was drunk - he was Illin'"
So the "Illest" just ain't working... Would like to suggest "Illinest" or "Most Ill"... otherwise you get no props from us old dudes!

I have not been on this thread for a few weeks, but it has not changed much. People are still saying they will get there car on the dyno and never post it. So here is what I have for you all. I had my SC installed in late June. I was in Iraq and could not drive it. When I got home it was happy days. All I had to do is get the new pulley installed and throw the 2nd tune on it and I was off to the races that night. When I got to the shop I had an oil leak in the SC. After the shop talked to Stillen they overnighted a new pump and paid for the install. So a week later I picked up my car and it is running ok. People are saying there car is doing this and doing that all I can complain about is from the smell it is running rich. I have not taken the car to the shop for a Dyno yet because I don't have a boost gauge yet. I is in and waiting for it to get installed and put on the dyno. On tues next week I will be able to give you more information about how the SC is running and post the dyno results.
People don't come on a message board to talk about how good there car is and how Nissan built the perfect car. They come on and say they really could of made it a little better. Stillen put out a product and there are going to be some problems along the way, but when they are willing to fix there problems at no cost to the customer that makes them a stand up company. My car may not be perfect but I know they are working on making it the best SC out there.
I will get back with you all next week.

you don't necessary need a boost gauge to get it dyno. your tuner should have all that stuff readily to use for customers that don't have one.

I would have to disagree on this point. Look at other threads about exhausts or whatever and if the product is good and liked we say so. If a product isnt what they claim, we say so. This is exactly what this forum is for on one point. A car that cant be driven is unacceptable if not provided a replacement. I would hate to make a payment on something I cant drive. I bet most in here bitch the minute their cable tv or internet goes out. But thats just me.

Right on spot, ZSteve...

When "customers" put their money on the line, expectation is that the product is as advertised at base layer. Stillen, or any other vendor, needs to have a contingency on how to keep their customer base "on the road" especially when their product ends up disabling the car. It's the least the vendor could do to lessen the aggravation and negative impact to said customer...

I have been eagerly awaiting the purchase of this SC to upgrade my Z. Given the things that Stillen needs to iron out... I think I'm going to wait a little while -- or choose an alternative if this product fails to 'mature' in 4-6 months time frame.

ok so looking back to the last 10 or so pages on the forum, from what i can gather:

RCZ - does not have any issues at all; his kit was installed and tune by HPLogic and using the old pulley, which supposedly was hitting higher than 8 psi
Weiboy - car is running great after getting new tune and pulley; however, dyno still pending and do not know his car's hp/trq numbers
wifedrivenz - initially had a leak but was fixed with stillen's help; dyno still pending and do not know his car's hp/trq; car is running great but seem rich
Tomnavone - issues w/ tune and car was suggest not to be driven; waiting for stillen to fix tune
LateralG'z - car is running great (installed and tuned by FSP) but running lower than expected hp/tq so they are trying to get old pulley just like RCZ's
G37mobbin - 2 months down in the garage and counting
Osiris - 2 months down in the garage this saturday
Phimosis - car is at stillen and uprev is fixing stillen's tune
willtangclan - kit appears to be running ok; had issues where every 1000km it throws a misfire or something code and only allows car to rev a 1K

i did not go all the way back pass 15 pages but i hope there are more of the customers who suposedly has no issues with the kit to post their experience in the forums so ppl start feeling better on buying this kit...

I made 411WHP and 303TQ at Stillens facility. Should be making more now with their new tune. I do have the updated larger pulley. I made 8.3psi at 7057 rpm on 2nd gear. I'll take a picture of that. My hks records the highest level activities.
