First, many twin turbo kits have been on the market for a couple of years on the 3.7L engine and putting down more PSI and more power than either of these supecharger kits. Second, where do you even make this assumption from? Because Stillen is having a problem so therefore GTM is going to blow up engines?

Dreamer, don't read things out of context. PM to follow.

RCZ, do you plan on going all out and upgrading your engine internals eventually? I don't plan on going that route, which is why the upgrade issue wasn't really a factor for me.

Smart move, Raul. Any thought to the rear end, half-shafts?

No big deal, Steve. My point was Stillen did the right thing. My point is FI puts a lot of stress on an engine. Maybe a new Mustang GT is built from the ground up to handle FI in the real world over time.. I'm not so sure about a VQ37, I think the jury's out. I certainly meant no offense to GTM, who have earned respect for their kit. Anyone dropping TT or SC in their car right now is a beta tester. That's all from me :tiphat:

I don't know why you would say that when we don't even know the true story from Stillen yet.

All we know is they backed off of their claims that they used to market/sell the product. I am really interested in what Josh/Kyle have to say.

All I know is that I hope Stillen is able to work something out with the customers who bought the product (and more importantly paid $XXXX thinking they were going to get what was marketed to them) to make the situation right.

Well I know you and Phimosis have a vested interest in this. I've got no skin in the game (yet) so I'm sure it's a lot easier on me.

Make no mistake, the new 5.0 wasn't designed to handle a lot of boost, much like the VQ37. The difference between the new Mustangs and our 370Z's, is the aftermarket support, engineering, and testing. After all, Vortech rose to fame through the Mustang platform. Guess who is supplying Stillen with their head unit?

I mean, look at the testing Ford is doing for their own supercharger kit. There's no doubt in my mind that this information will trickle throughout the aftermarket industry.

I wish NISSAN took the aftermarket more seriously ala FRPP and Ford.

I thought Ford beefed up the crank, connecting rods and godknows what, to handle a lot more power?

forged steel crank, forged powdered rods, and hyper pistons.

Stilllen has commented, I'm satisfied with their explanation so far. I have a feeling Stillen will do whatever is necessary to rectify any issues. That's the pattern I've seen for years.
