I would expect you want similar temps to when you're not supercharged. The rest of the engine doesn't become more temp tolerant when you bolt on a supercharger.

On a side note, I saw a G37 with the SC kit installed at Fields Infinity on the north side of Chicago yesterday. The kit itself looks awesome in person, great build quality, and sounds nice at idle. Not terribly noticeable when just puttering at idle. I didn't dare take a ride in the car since that would just lead to me having supercharger fever. Once you go SC, you never go back :)
Man Im dying for a SC and I havent even riden one. Im already used to the power of the Z and want more.

i was reading somewhere on here stating our cars runs alot better with the oil temp between 190~200. mines is 230 on idling and i would think it will go up alot higher once you get into boost. i'm buying a oil cooler tomorrow. screw that, better be safe than sorry!

We will be installing a Stillen SC in the next few weeks, and I'm sure the owner won't mind giving you a ride :D

230 at idle???? thats very high. I haven't broken 220 since I got the SC installed. Normally runs at 200 deg when I'm driving normally. I do have a giant oil cooler though, I think you should too.

yeah, i noticed that my engine is running alot hotter after the SC. i'm looking for a good oil cooler right now. any recommendations? i'm not sure if i can use the Stillen one since my heat exchanger is mounted on the left side right behind the power steering. the GTM or Z1 looks promising.

You also have some issues with your VVEL that could be increasing heat. But an oil cooler is HIGHLY recommended.

BTW either STILLEN Street or Race Cooler will work with the Supercharger.. Of course we would ensure it fits. :)

hey Josh, i'm more than happy to pick up your kit but here's the problem. my heat exchanger is mounted on the passenger side so i'll need way longer SS hoses for it to reach the oil cooler because i'm gonna have to mount it on the driver side. i went through your installation manual and it states it should be mounted on the passenger side. i won't be able to do that. here's a pic of what i'm talking about.

how many row is your cooler?

We have a 19-row and a 25-row kit, and I can get you some details on mounting the cooler to work in conjunction with the heat exchanger.

sure, but i would really want to mount that cooler on the passenger side to avoid relocating the oem power steering cooler. is it possible?
