Wow that place looks like a amusement park thank you for posting. I can't believe all the toys they have there lol. I say good for them and glade they do have them. I would start to get worried if they try selling them, which would mean to me financial trouble lol. Also who is the owner of stillen just wondering since you seemed to get a nice tour of the place maybe the question was already asked? I kind of like how they have there hands in to everything though but damn I really wish they made a after market rear bumper since I like the design of there urethane front bumper. Thanks again man rep added for pics of the shop I really love when people get to take tours and all.

yeah, their shop is huge! i think they have 1 or 2 more buildings across the street which we didn't have the honor to tour.

the owner should be the infamous Mr. Steve Millen. he's an awesome guy with an accent haha.

Frank,

Please let us know if you're ever in Southern California, we would love to give you the tour and let you meet everyone here, as well as Steve Millen.

Steve has been involved with professional racing his entire life, and with Nissan's for a good part of his racing career, including the winninest driver in IMSA Sports Car series with a Nissan 300ZX, and raced just about everything with 4 wheels. He personally is involved with all areas of development and manufacturing, and is 100% the driving force behind STILLEN.

Here's a recent article done by Autoblog, complete with the Targa Rally he just came back from in the STILLEN GT-R.. I'm sure you'll enjoy the video: Steve Millen returns home to tackle Targa New Zealand [w/Video] — Autoblog

Maybe just longtubes vs stillen then?

Josh or Kyle, any plans for a 10psi pulley soon?
Raul, we can cut any pulley for any boost level you'd like to run.. and are also interested to see what the LTH can do with the STILLEN Supercharger. Let's discuss..

Great vid guys, Looks like it was a blast!

Can anybody say what the difference in gas mileage is under normal commute type driving conditions (ie mostly highway)?

Fezzik 11-19-2010 03:01 PM

For me. My gas mileage actually improved on highway.... but on streets its gone WAAAY down..... yeah its tough not to give it more gas with the supercharger from a stop.

weiboy718 11-19-2010 03:21 PM

I'm only getting 220 mixed highway and local driving lol

Kyle@STILLEN 11-19-2010 04:21 PM

Toner- As Josh (AKA "tall fat white guy") pointed out, the President of STILLEN is Steve Millen. I'm also his son, a lot of people think Dad has stepped back over the years but he definitely has not. Overall we have three buildings in Costa Mesa, with a little over 100,000 square feet of real estate between our warehouse/distribution center, fabrication and manufacturing facility and the main HQ which houses sales & marketing, customer service, service department/installation center, R&D, in-house CNC machine shop, modeling shop (body kit studio), and urethane manufacturing. We have been in business for 25 years with Steve being in charge every day and closely involved in every project.

To elaborate on what Josh said regarding Steve, his has won more championships and set more pole positions than any other driver in IMSA history. He also won the 24 hours of Le Mans, 12 hours of Sebring (twice) and twenty four hours of Daytona when he raced professionally for NISSAN in the #75 300ZX. In the same car he also won two world championships in 1992 and 1994 and was leading the championship in 93 but due to an accident at Walkins Glen with a few races left in the season he was unable to complete the season. If memory serves me correctly though, he had such a big lead up 'til that point that he actually almost won the championship even though he didn't compete in the last few races.

One amazing fact about Steve, he has never lost a single race in his career in the rain. We won't be selling the toys any time soon but we do regularly sell some of the show cars. For example, the red and silver and orange mustang that you see in those pictures from Weiboy are for sale. The yellow one will be for sale in a few months I think. We have to make room in the shop for the new projects some how!

I have put a few thousand miles on some of our test cars however the only time that I actually monitored the fuel mileage was on the way home from a hill climb race. It was primarily highway type driving but there were also some mountain passes and slow cities that I had to go through and I averaged 27 MPG with speeds as high as 75-80 sustained and as low as 25 MPH for short intervals while traveling through some small towns.

That is better that most are getting stock. You must be using the same unicorn piss for gas that you used to get the horsepower and torque numbers that nobody else can seem to get.

Awesome I hope some day I can make it there to take you up on this offer. I would love to take a tour and see how ever day business gets done. I was loving the pics that Weiboy sent and if you guys ever have any that you would like to share please post. I can't begin to express how much i love to see where the magic is being made and how things are set up and how they work. I don't want to de-rail your thread completely but when Weiboy posted those pics i got excited and jealous lol. I got into the high performance deal of cars a little late due to child hood life and not being able to afford any of that stuff. I am the type of person that doesn't want to look at things that I can't afford. Maybe in your spot on the forum you can create a "About Stillen thread and post some pics of staff and the history of Stillen. I believe that the info provided by you and Kyle is very crucial since I for one did not know any of that and was unaware of the history of Steve Millen. Just a idea since like i said I am a huge person on wanting to know where a company has been and where there going. Not to throw a competitor in there but this is why I love GTM so much since Sam is directly involved in everything like Mr.Millen is and he took the time like you guys just did to explain to me the history of GTM.

Once again Josh and Kyle thank you very much for the info, it was a pleasure to read.
Frank

PS do you guys plan on making a Urethane rear bumper to go with your front bumper? If not please do that way when i get my front bumper I can eventually upgrade the rear one to have a full body kit Lol. Ok ok done de-railing this lol thanks again
