 Ok. I don't have my car yet. Friday, the Uprev team was working on the tune for the car. Looks like I have my own custom built program. I don't know how that can help anybody else. Another weekend without the Z. Went to Tex Renfest instead with Wifey and drank it all away. So, maybe this week, then. When its ready, hopefully this week, I opted to go up to Austin and drive it for a few hours, just in case there are anymore glitches, I can immediately take it back. No delays with Towing back to Victoria, then oops, then send it back. It was explained to me that Uprev wants to make sure the Z is performing perfect. To me, perfection can take an incredibly long time. So, I dunno.

I just hope someone can benefit from my posting this info, one way or another I guess. More than happy to have anyone check out the setup, if they want. Like the sands of time, my optimism is running out. Funny thing, is this was an incredibly huge hourglass! > 4 months, c'mon!

Do what im doing and return it to stillen. Stillen has given up and moved onto some other platform to sell their crap. They will guage u a 10% restocking fee but im pretty sure there is another company that sells a supercharger and has awesome customer service and support. Now what was the name of that other company???

Class action lawsuit, anyone with me? Perhaps we can get a full refund plus labor back from stillen. Enough time has passed lets band together to get our money back

weiboy718 10-11-2010 04:23 PM

It'll never be perfect, take my word for it lol

If they are moving on to another platform then I want it off my car and my money and labor back. Can someone verify this is true that they are moving platforms

They sell and fabricate parts for many cars from nissan to chevy to ford to subaru. Doesnt seem they are working on the supercharger for the 370z since there has been no real news or fixes for months. They are doing to us what they did to the 350z crowd. They got their money and now its cheaper to move on then to actually fix the supercharger for the 370. They still say their are no problems with their supercharger for the 370:roflpuke2:

So their is problems with the Stillen 350z SC kit too?

Very inefficient (too small) blower used which lead(s) to major heat-soaking. The 7th injector is\was also very archaic.

Thats very disappointing as ive always been a big supporter and fan of stillen. You would think a company like stillen would make an effort to correct their mistakes.

Stratton.

Buzz- Don't know if you've had a chance to contact UPrev today or not but your car is actually finished and ready to go. They were able to identify the cause of the issue and fix it and were also able to learn even more about the Nissan ECU while they were working on your car. Thank you so much for your cooperation and patience in this. I can't wait to see you post up after getting to finally drive the car!

This could not be further from the truth. We have been specializing in the Nissan Z platform for 20 years and we aren't going to be changing that focus any time soon. If anyone was at our shop last week they would have seen our red Z back on the dyno undergoing more testing and development. We have a lot of plans for the Z and they include everything from smaller items like brake ducts to larger items like higher horsepower supercharger systems. Our R&D departments goal is to get these few customers experiencing issues 100% solved and then we will move on to other Z related performance parts.

Is anyone running Stillens CARB tune successfully with good results? If there is only a few people having problems with your kit why arent u selling it anymore?

Yes! There's always been Stillen FI problems on the VQ platform. It's been mentioned before in this thread, but all who stated it were called GTM fanboys... Every mod on my car is Stillen, and I support them, but when it comes to FI, history says to stay away.
