Hi guys,
I think that intro price is crazy - You can make a car run close to GTR-type levels with a fraction of the total cost! My question as a noob is: should I go with a Supercharger or a Twin Turbo if I want to make the car more powerful all-around. I know there are some advantages/disadvantages to each, but at $5K, a Supercharger is hard to beat if it's the best upgrade option, right?

Any thoughts

Can Sam offer a quick expert opinion as well?

The twin turbo systems available for the 370Z have far more hp potential than a supercharger setup. For stock block guys wanting ~400whp though, a supercharger is a really great option.

From the position of the supercharger, I was wondering how much dirt and debre it will be exposed too.

Would this affect the life and usage of the supercharger?

Those who daily drive their cars will probably have this on their minds because at least here in Chicago we still use salt to melt snow and we all know how bad salt is.

If you really have to ask that question ... instead of learning your own opinion... you should probably invest in a performance driving school first... I am sure the Z has much more get up and go than 99% of us need (read: not want but need lol)..

I wouldn't worry too much about it. The supercharger sits in place of the alternator, and the alternator has a openings in the case to aid in heat dissipation, so if that doesn't have any issues i can't see where the 100% sealed supercharger would have any problems.

Now that being said ... since i'm originally from the midwest and have been to chicago in the winter i have two words ... WINTER BEATER! its far cheaper than the damage you could do to the poor Z.

The really major selling point for us cali folks - when do you expect to get your CARB stage out? That intro price is nuts.... how much time do you estimate the install / tune would take for this?

what are the required maintenances with this kit for optimal performance?

SC kit oil change at every 3k and belt replacement at every 30-40K?

The Rotrex oil should be changed every 2 years/50000 miles, or whichever comes first with only The Rotrex traction fluid Rotrex SX100. as for the belt we are using BANDO belts which is the the number one OEM supplier and i have seen the belt last up to 60 k

Sam

How much would an "oil change" cost with the supercharger? With it being specific fluid, it has me curious...

Hey Sam quick question. That stage 3 kit you are selling online, the 550hp one, is that kit released? Would be interesting to get the specs on it.

If its a pre-order still, thats fine too, it just doesn't say anywhere that it is. I wouldn't want to be a customer who pays 6k for something to find out its not released yet. Might want to add something in there to let people know if thats the case...

The stage 3 kit is not released yet, it should be released by the time the stage one is ready ship and any of the customer that have taken advantage of the introductory pricing will have the option to upgrade to stage Two or stage three before shipping the stage one .
