Everyone with a brain knows Sam is busy. I never disputed that. If you take a reread over what I posted, you'll realize that.

Lastly, 1 in 9 people in the US live in California. It is not like 1 out of 50 which is the mindset people seem to take. There is no more important single market for import parts in the US.

This could go 5 pages with the exact same thing, so I'll just leave it at this.. Sam, could you update your post on page 1 in reference to CARB certification? Thanks.

If you want a carb legal kit that bad, A simple call to Sam will justify the issues and concerns you may have.

Honestly, when I am in the market for an SC kit, buying a kit that is CARB approved would be great but I would still get forced induction regardless of whether it is certified or not.

In the software world we call this FUD. 1 year ago the Stillen kit was a strong potential competitor and they were advertising that they would get CARB certified. Sam didn't want to give Stillen that competitive advantage in the largest market for sales and said they too would get certified. Sam even posted later that GTM would have their certification first. Well the Stillen kit turned out to be a weak competitor and it appears to me that CARB certification at GTM is on the back burner.

sigh

yes im not a business person because i said "GTM shouldnt worry about a small market and work on their bigger market."

which is what you said in different words

so your the best business man

im not

congrats

! yay

If this CARB cert conversation was happening in the Stillen S/C thread, everyone would be bashing Stillen for letting everyone down, once again. As opposed to what happens here; many forum members fiercly protect GTM and bashes any forum member that should question GTM's motives or actions.

Phim, don’t forget Stillen has done the Carb thing a lot longer than GTM so they already know all the in's and out's. I'm sure it's a longer process than even they anticipated. However, looking at the products and seeing what has unfolded over the last couple of months, there is no question GTM is in a solid position to take the time they need.

Carb is what, 5% of sales? When it comes to R&D and everything else they are developing, it can take a back seat.

This G37/Z thing is their world, Stillen and their fan boys are just living in it. /lawlz

What does this even mean? Since Stillen has flopped so hard, GTM can continue to take their time because they know people will wait for it?

The Carb cert is more important for us then ever, Not because of California sales, it plays much bigger roll for us then that. Can't say much right now but you will see very soon.

The process is very slow i agree, we have it on auto pilot and pretty much letting it take its own course.

All i can say it is going to happen.

Sam

So if I get the GTM SC now and then you get CARB certified later would my kit qualify under the CARB?

christian370z 03-13-2011 08:13 PM

Sam, you should stop by here more often I think. :)
