If you were referring to me, I didn't ask for a break. Re read my comment.

As far as thinking of yourself as a critic; that’s a joke. Lets see what it really means to be a critic.....

The word critic comes from the Greek κριτικός (kritikós), "able to discern"[1], which in turn derives from the word κριτής (krités), meaning a person who offers reasoned judgment or analysis, value judgment, interpretation, or observation[2]. The term can be used to describe an adherent of a position disagreeing with or opposing the object of criticism.

With this being said I don’t think you fit this category, I almost made a horible mistake because of your "critic" judgment on GTM.

^^ could you guys take that out of this thread.

Great job Sam, the S/C battle seems to be going well. Btw if you want to talk about battle how about the fact that Stage 1 S/C Z's are producing as much power and tq as Stage 1 TT's for a fraction of the cost. Can't wait till Tony at F.I. matches these up with LTH's and his catback I'm thinking 500whp and once that happens my $ is going on the table.

As far as the long tube headers goes there are going to be a ton of guys with these monsters that are planing to go SC. At some point I think it would be wise to source a tune for this type of application. I still think we will see power gains with the LTH.

shumby 05-03-2010 03:16 AM

Well i will be the first (maybe) to havs FI LTH and cat back with Sam's SC. so we shal see how it all turns out.

AndyZ 05-03-2010 06:12 AM

Just came back from gtm. And i will be back there this week again to reduce one of sams 370zTT project

shumby 05-03-2010 06:36 AM

^^^ worst post ever. where are the pics and the updates and all the info you should have been hounding Sanm for.

StillenZ 05-03-2010 10:39 AM

So did anyone else notice the last hard pull in the video where he went WOT hard core then shifted first to third.

I was like damn, second gear getting him to 80 mph lol... took me a minute to realize he skipped 2nd.

Sam, I was wondering if you can clarify something:

I noticed in your original post you posted dyno graphs for 8 psi with a stock exhaust. You just recently posted dyno graphs showing the results for a 4mm smaller pulley and a new CBE. However, it still shows 8 psi on the graph.
Is there a typo somewhere?

shumby 05-03-2010 02:32 PM

what would the typo be? Do you think he is running more psi now? I think the only thing he was trying to show was the gains with the CBE. at the same PSI. If you watch the vid it is only at 8 PSI on the readout.

I tried watching the video on my iphone but the resolution sucked. I'll head home and check it out.

I was wondering if the the 8 psi on the bottom of the new dyno charts was a typo as he said he was running a 4 mm smaller pulley.

We are still running 8 Psi boost as you can see in the video. Lowering the pulley 4mm did put the blower at max efficiency. So between Improving the exhaust flow and a smaller pulley the car made very good improvement, The process of doing this was slow and very time consuming but it was very rewarding at the end as you can see .

I have a feeling that there will be a HP increase with a decrease in TQ, always happens when the airflow is opened up too much.
