Default COG SC belt keeps shredding help

Replaced the belts last year the sc belt completely broke. Put on a new belt made sure it was loose enough to move back and forth on the pulley. Today I noticed it was fraying and I don't know why?

is this the correct belt for your application?

It appears your belt has Round teeth and you have square cogs on your pulleys.

Which leads me to think you have the incorrect belt. It will slip

I know this beause, my old D21 pickup chnaged the timing belt style (round to square teeth) mid production. If you went to the parts guy and told him just the year and make you would get handed either style. If the parts guy was observant and noted this, he would ask you for your VIN number.

It's hard to tell from pictures how square your pulley teeth are. This is my guess. (doesn't help when it's only $17 and made in PRC )

Also, I don't think this belt was designed for superchargers.

What does the warning note say on the belt? (just after the part number it says "do not....." (2nd picture down)

This was the exact belt that was on it when bought so I just went with the same belt Titan Motorsports was the one that built and worked on the car. I don't know if it's ideal. The warning says do not crimp. 560-8m co722 70 rib belt

Much better pictures.

It appears that it does mate to the cogs but the width seems narrow. Just make sure the belt teeth fill up the gear cogs. There should be no gaps at the bottom of the "valley's" and to the sides. To me, it still looks like you have square cogs on pulley.

I would do a little more internet research and see what others have used. (what is you SC setup?)

If all else fails, take a measurement of your current belt and buy a reputable brands equuivelant in size, and go from there.

Lots of info on SC belts on the net. Including green vs black for stiif or softer versions (can't remember which is which.

and you can call titan motorsports. People can make mistakes!

Good luck

Going to try and Goodyear belt. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CGXT5SCN...fed_asin_title

The SC is a Vortech V3 on a cog 30 tooth. Air to air conversion, treadstone intercooler, Tial bypass, water meth, flex fuel, running the stillen manifold. Highest boost I've seen is 13psi.

Don't use a cogged belt.
I use the Gates RPM belts (serpentine and supercharger) together with the "high grip" pulley(s) form Vortex on my supercharger. No slipping.

I have the gates RPM as my main Accessory belt. Good stuff.

I was gonna suggest this product for him.
