Default Please help ID this hose that was cut by the belt

Hello all, I was looking over and under the car during a coolant flush and found this hose that was cut by the serpentine belt. I tried looking into the manuals on the engine and coolant section but I can't find it for sure. Can anyone ID this hose and what system it is a part of? Coolant, Vaccum, etc? Please, and thanks in advance.

If nobody comes up with a good answer, you should be able to figure it out using the FSM (link in sig).

Thanks, I've had the link and went through the engine and coolant manuals. I'll try scouring it a bit more this weekend.

On another note, anyone else coming across pulley and belt running issues? This would be the third time moving parts have made contact.

That hose is part of the ‘oil cooler’ circuit, it’s still part of the engine cooling system. See attached picture. Service manual has the diagram under engine lubrication system.

Sweet!!! Thank you very much. Now, I gotta figure out how to get to it since the area is pretty tight. Thanks again!

It might be called a bypass hose. As far as your 'belt alignment' issue, you need to check for loose bolts on the tensioner & idler pulleys, along with accessory mount points.. You might even have a damaged tensioner or idler pulley. What usually happens is that someone mis-installed the replacement belt one rib too far inboard. Since the belt has ribs, it' won't 'walk' into it's correct position.

To replace that hose, I'd remove the belt and the tensioner, it should give you enough access to replace the hose and clamps.
