Z1Motorsports offers NO REFUND if you send back a core (ie: upper intake manifold for porting service) that arrives damaged due to bad packaging. Please consider doing something like that, everything properly detailed. Now with this bad experience you can discount a lot if it's oil in the packaging and zero refund if damaged. Saying that beforehand will ensure that the customers put a bit of effort to do thing right when sending it back to you. When money penalty is involved things change. |

Honestly, as a "small business" operator myself, I cringed when I saw TopGunz offering a buyback!
The logistics of it are not worth it. |
Is anyone getting the Rotrex kit for a 7AT and running moderate power gains?
I'm looking to see the outcome of a kit that is installed on a 7AT car, tuned primarily for 91, runs full air intake filter and will be daily driven. I know most people getting this kit will be installing it on upgraded 6MT cars and going all-out (jealous!) but I am hoping that someone is going for a more restrained approach on a 7AT car that I can follow. |

Will be installed on 2014 7AT(fast intentions flex plate) car with stock engine, not a daily driver. Full CJM fuel return system/billet rails with 450 pump and ID 1300 injectors. Also will have flex fuel. Starting out with just a 93 pump gas tune then bringing in the E85 afterwards. Hoping for around 550wheel on pump and 600 on E85, I feel like that is moderate compared to what Topgunz says this is capable of. Currently have all parts ready for install other than Topgunz Kit. |

I can only get 91 in my state, and anywhere from 400 to 450whp would be fine for me. I don't want to push the 7AT too hard. I had a 2016 GTI that lost it's DSG transmission at 20K miles with a Stage 1 tune, those DSGs were supposed to be "bulletproof" but that was an eye opener! |

Correct me if I’m wrong Topgunz, but I don’t think he did it for money but more for customer satisfaction. The buyback was only on the ACE kit that came out a few months before and I can imagine buyers being pretty pissed to see a superior product come out right after they bought the already latest and greatest. It’s unfortunate those clowns had to ruin it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

In other news, we just sent a kit out the door to a big name shop that is going to push this thing hard. I cant wait to see what they can do with this monster. Buckle up!

OK, so no buyback program. I get that. But what is the pricing and availability for the parts needed to convert from an ACE kit?

Yes, I've seen that. It says basically buy a whole new kit and sell what u don't need. Of course, thats always been an option, from day one. I'm trying to understand what the cost would be to get just the parts needed to convert, similar to what I did in converting from the Gen 1 kit to the Gen 2 (ACE) kit.

It would be $5150 to send out everything you need to turn the ACE kit into a Rotrex kit.
Remember, this is an entirely new head unit (MSRP $2800) with the oiling system ($3250 msrp total) , new bracket with all new pulleys and new belt setup. New aluminum cast driver side intake, charge pipe, SC intake with filter, boost control hardware. |
Thank you Aaron.
