Yes, but when you ask questions that can be answered via Google search and then the first post of the thread, you identify yourself as a lazy person. If you had said, 'I read xxxxx and xxxxx, and I don't understand 'yyyyy' and 'zzzzz', you might get a different response. It's like asking 'what kind of oil should I use in my car', when there are easily half a dozen threads on this forum about that topic. :icon14:

That's okay, continue to be lazy. We like lazy people here. :bowrofl:

Half dozen? More like 10 dozen. :rofl2:

The "experts" have already answered your question; many times (see Ghostvette's reply above). ;)

It's a fair question. All that needs to be said is that they are so similar it is comparing apples to apples.

Got a customer that's excited to get his soon. Looking forward to tuning it on the dyno.

Birdiev 07-08-2021 10:03 PM

I'm excited as well. Please let us know when they get shipped out. Will be sitting outside waiting for the kit to arrive.

Multiple kits will be shipping this week. I will be shipping as "Hold at Fedex location" closest to the provided address. This protects both parties from porch pirates and over handling. I have seen how FedEx and UPS deliver heavy boxes. They usually slam them down on the cement approach and then if nobody is home they slam them back into the truck and repeat the cycle.

You should see how they throw them on the truck!

Yes, when loading the trucks to set them up for delivery for the day, it gets ugly. This is why the approach I am taking just makes sense to reduce any issues.

Hi Aaron, any word on pricing & availability of kits to convert Ace setups to this one?

Here are some highlights of the new Topgun Speedworks ROTREX kit vs the vortech setups.

Obviously belt slip is a big concern for the supercharger crews. If you know anything of the other setups out there then it's easy to agree. We have vetted out any and all belt slip even when making up to 22psi of boost!

Here are a few pictures of our routing vs the vortech routing on the serpentine side. As you can see there is much more wrap around the drive belt where slip commonly occurs. We also use custom high diameter idlers which reduces belt wear and dust.

Below you can see we also have increased the supercharger side belt from 8 rib to 10 rib. This obviously creates much more grip. More on the ease of adjustability in a later post.

RIP belt slip!!!!

More highlights of the ROTREX kit.

It will take you longer to find your Allen wrench then to adjust the idler. Literally 10 second adjustment!

Most guys remove the supercharger on vortech setups. If not be prepared to say 20 new swear words and come out with beef jerky hand.

This design is built for simplicity and end user in mind.

93 Oct 340lph fuel pump not for sale by speedworks?

Looking good Aaron!

I was just putting the pricing together for this and noticed even though the web page says the 93 Oct 500hp components are all available on the main page there is no 340lph pump/kit/V stabilizer on there. Just the 450 for E85.

Am I missing something?

Cheers :)

+1 On this, I really want to upgrade to this new kit from the ACE kit.
I am really pleased with the ACE kit, but if I can "move the graph to the left" and put a full filter as well, then I would like to have the new kit.

TopgunZ 07-28-2021 08:32 AM

Unfortunately, I am no longer offering the buyback option. This is due to the fact that it caused me way to many headaches.

Of the 3 kits I received back so far, one was packed HORRIBLY and the bracket punched out the sidewall of the box and I had to replace it (at my cost). One did not have the shipping plug inserted instead of the vent plug and the whole box and unit was covered in oil, which I had clean and replace (at my cost). One did not have all of the components in it i had asked to be returned. I hope you can understand that I cannot continue to deal with this.

If you want the Rotrex kit you will need to purchase it from me. I can offer discounts to repeat customers. If you want to save on install then you just replace the components that need to be replaced and sell the ACE kit as a used kit with lots of brand new parts.

Theres really only 3 parts that change. It is the main bracket with SC attached already, SC charge pipe (that goes across the engine bay) and the driver side intake pipe. And a couple of couplers.

So theres no need to touch the intercooler, passenger piping, coolant tank system, etc...

What a bunch of di**. Now you can thank the 3 tool bags for ruining for you all
