I enjoyed our talk today SAM! Hopefully we can get the ball rolling and get some more installers here in the South East. I will talk to Scott and see if I can get them to Join the forum  Keep up the great work and I hope to have your kit on a cover sooner than later ;)

The stage one kit says its good for up to 500HP, is that at the flywheel or rear wheel?

Zguy 10-04-2009 09:23 PM

I dont think anyone besides the factory measures to the Flywheel. Im pretty sure all or a majority measure to the wheels.

All the HP rating on our website is based on the turbo capacity and what ever is listed it does pertain to the crank output not the wheel. Having said that all those numbers are very very conservative to say the least, For an example our GTM stage one turboo kit is rated @ 500 bhp but we have made 584 RWHP on an 08 350z HR .

Here is my Very First post to the forum. And this is a question that has not been asked about your twin turbo kit so far... i did search threw all the pages and didn't find this answer.

Sam, is it possible with the twin turbo kit to be able to have 2 different size turbo's? One for the quick spool and low-mid range power and a larger turbo for mid-high range power?

Kinda like a gt28 and a gt35r set-up??

i'm not a noob with turbo's, i've met you a few times with 2c. I also used to have a boosted s2000, but unfortunately it was totaled in a horrible accident and i am going to be salvaging all my parts to buy a 370z within the next month or 2. and the first order of business i'll be having with you is to install this kit.

But for the time being, i'm curious what the options are, if it is possible 2 different size turbo's are available, if not. what stage would you consider to be if i requested Twin Gt30's

Thank you

- Chris

Thanks for that Sam.

They dont have much of a Website basically just a front end, with contact details. Off the top of my head they are know for Honda work but i'm sure a search through our local forums would reveal more about them.

Chris,

Just so you know a Twin turbo kit like the one GTM is offering needs equal sized turbos. Here is one of the many reasons why: Each turbo powers one side of the block i.e. turbo A runs off the right bank of engine exhaust gases and Turbo B runs off the left bank of exhaust gases. Having a staggered setup like you suggested would end up with one side of the engine fully exhausted while the other side would not be fully utilized. So in Lamens terms turbo A would be at full boost while Turbo B would not causing the right bank of the engine and turbo parts to receive much more wear and tear than the left. Not to mention that this would negatively affect any power you make as well as be a complete B*tch to tune!

Like I said there are TONS of reasons why this would not be a good idea... And many on here could correct me and elaborate further on the subject.

As far as your GT30 question goes I would say a stage 3 or 4 should do the trick! but remember you have to be able to feed this puppy too! so their stage 4 or 5 fuel system would probably be your best bet! Good Luck

I wouldn't totally agree on that, as the intake manifold (plenum) does not have any sort of separation and basically boost coming from both throttle bodies mixes in there

Equinox 10-06-2009 12:19 PM

how would you have two seperate MAFs and TBs but the intake manifold plenum is not seperate?

G37Sam 10-06-2009 12:39 PM

Yes, but there is no seperation in the plenum in order to equalize air flow entering both banks in order not to hurt the engine
