Ma-Motorsports Boosted performance turbo build
Well I’m getting excited to finally get this long awaited parts piling project started. Soon the car will be going under the knife to finally see my dreams come true. Not shooting for the moon in terms of power staying under 800whp. Really looking forward for some really trick tuning features geared toward circuit and 1/2 mile runs (high boost). Thanks to a fellow member for helping me out in a huge way “spooler” |
No problem. Hope yours is easier than mine to get completed. It's all about the finished product. Just keep reminding yourself you are going this process so you don't have issues later.

At least show us a pile of parts or something. Even a before pic of the car is better than that lame first post :shakes head: :p |

A shot of it being loaded up on the trailer or unloaded at MA would be very fitting :tiphat:

Custom diamond pistons 11:1 Carillo rods C2 cams Car will be mainly running E during track season, pump in the summer because it sits most of the summer. Maybe 18psi at high boost. I plan on having different maps for racing,I want a lot of failsafe and the ability to monitor fuel n oil pressure |
I thought Ecutek could do no lift shift as part of the RaceROM features.

Forgive my ignorance...but what would the real deal be? Some type of stand alone system? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
The real deal would be a solution that doesn't cause the cylinder pressure to spike. Like Rusty said, a simple ignition cut is all you need. But there are also stand-alone ECUs, like the Motec one Elmo mentions, that will do it properly.
|
Syvec or a Motec. Yes, they are standalones.

I disagree but not important. Just would like an opinion based on your statement. I haven’t seen that mentioned before. Don’t wanna damage motor.

I think his point was that if he says someone else told him that info, you're not going to believe it anyway. And that's coming from a guy who spent years of research and is now dropping real coin to build his Z right. If you don't believe him in the first place, then you haven't done your research :twocents:
