Ma-Motorsports Boosted performance turbo build

Well I’m getting excited to finally get this long awaited parts piling project started. Soon the car will be going under the knife to finally see my dreams come true. Not shooting for the moon in terms of power staying under 800whp. Really looking forward for some really trick tuning features geared toward circuit and 1/2 mile runs (high boost). Thanks to a fellow member for helping me out in a huge way “spooler”

Spooler 03-15-2019 03:28 PM

No problem. Hope yours is easier than mine to get completed. It's all about the finished product. Just keep reminding yourself you are going this process so you don't have issues later.

:worthless:

At least show us a pile of parts or something. Even a before pic of the car is better than that lame first post :shakes head: :p

JARblue 03-15-2019 05:36 PM

A shot of it being loaded up on the trailer or unloaded at MA would be very fitting :tiphat:

Almost. Wheres the 4 way adjustable coilovers for $15,000, the $30,000 carbon/carbon brakes, the $20,000 sequential transmission, and the $6,000 Forgeline rims.

Pretty much the same thing as spoolers

All depends how efficient the car makes power, the turbo itself is only good for 800. Far as internals custom diamond racing pistons, Carrillo rods, and c2 cams. I’ll also be adding flex fuel, accusump, Ron Davis radiator, and spl front impact and lower control arm bushings.

Corrected it for ya. Your an Engineer, get your numbers right.

You don't need the Motec to run the tranny. Get your facts straight. Manual shift. :driving: The Quaife is a bit cheaper too.

Just need some type of ignition cut for that. Wire in a pressure transducer on the shifter like they do on motorcycles.

Car is under a tarp, and everything I have is in boxes scattered around the house. I have a journal if you really want to see pictures. I’ll take pictures when I’m on my way to drop the car off. Couple more weeks.

Pretty much a carbon copy of spoolers.
Custom diamond pistons 11:1
Carillo rods
C2 cams
Car will be mainly running E during track season, pump in the summer because it sits most of the summer.
Maybe 18psi at high boost. I plan on having different maps for racing,I want a lot of failsafe and the ability to monitor fuel n oil pressure

JARblue 04-25-2019 08:44 AM

I thought Ecutek could do no lift shift as part of the RaceROM features.

It can but the way it does it causes the cylinder pressure to spike. Bye-Bye headgasket on a boosted car. I chose not to have it installed. If I get it I want the real deal, not that fake crap. Same for launch control and rolling anti lag.

Forgive my ignorance...but what would the real deal be? Some type of stand alone system?

JARblue 04-28-2019 08:47 AM

The real deal would be a solution that doesn't cause the cylinder pressure to spike. Like Rusty said, a simple ignition cut is all you need. But there are also stand-alone ECUs, like the Motec one Elmo mentions, that will do it properly.

Spooler 04-28-2019 12:36 PM

Syvec or a Motec. Yes, they are standalones.

Same for centrifugal supercharger? Should not use 2-step or flat shift with Ecutek??

Why would you need it? You have instant boost since you have a supercharger. Only needed for turbo cars.

Senna-F1 04-28-2019 12:57 PM

I disagree but not important. Just would like an opinion based on your statement. I haven’t seen that mentioned before. Don’t wanna damage motor.

Was told to me by someone who is a heck of a lot smarter than me on the subject. I'll just leave it at that since you are the non-believing kind anyway.

What??

JARblue 04-28-2019 01:56 PM

I think his point was that if he says someone else told him that info, you're not going to believe it anyway. And that's coming from a guy who spent years of research and is now dropping real coin to build his Z right. If you don't believe him in the first place, then you haven't done your research :twocents:
