RJM Whipple Customer Thread
This is a thread dedicated to RJM Whipple customers. I will populate what I can from offline customers. Please follow the following format for your intro:
Customer #X Ordered Stage X.X with the following upgrades.... Pics of install Dyno Sheet ------------- For those not on the forum I will add what I can. |
Brad's 7at Vert Build:
His entire Build is being video'd and posted to youtube here: Youtube playlist Brad has a stage 1 with an upgraded Race heat exchanger. He also has an exhaust and headers I believe. Brad will be running the 4" pulley which is about 11psi. he is still waiting on some supporting mods before he hits the dyno. We expect he will be in the mid 500's. UPDATE (2/11): Eugene Turkov is tuning brad’s car on ecutek. https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...36&oe=5C821839 https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...ca&oe=5C7A5211 https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...07&oe=5C700641 https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...fd&oe=5C794A08 https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...ad&oe=5C3DE039 https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...de&oe=5C73961A |
Christian's Red Z build:
Bobby finished this install about a month ago and christian has been tuned by Moncef over at ADMIN Tuning (great guy and good tuner.) Christian tracks this car but given the winter his driving has been limited. Christian is on a stage 1 with an upgraded heat exchanger and a 4" pulley. I dont have a dyno but he has been whooping up on some 500 and 600whp vehicles. https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...58&oe=5C3C7CCA https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...22&oe=5C6C4760 https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...c1&oe=5C70E48F https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...9c&oe=5C88216B https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...f2&oe=5C7BDB59 https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...a3&oe=5C7E2A6D https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...b3&oe=5C8A65BB |
Next is Brian's G37 AWD Sedan. His motor was just assembled today so more progress to watch. This is going to be one badass sedan!!!
Brian is going full stage 2. This car will be running pump gas a c16+meth. RJM is personally building this car in house along with nomodsjk's carbon car. these two cars should be 900whp+. https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...85&oe=5C7D0B91 https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...43&oe=5C884B16 https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...28&oe=5C7AA68D ET Streets on all 4 corners: https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...44&oe=5C4025E9 His Motor: https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...b0&oe=5C75C7F9 https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...0f&oe=5C3D181E https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...d7&oe=5C6F3C81 https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...38&oe=5C414FC5 https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...44&oe=5C83ACC2 His build can be found on facebook. This car will be shooting for 900+awhp and is fully caged! |
Trey's Widebody black cherry Z:
Trey is running a stage 1.5 with a race heat exchanger. Trey made over 650+whp on a heart breaker dyno and over 580+ftlbs!!!! Trey is running the 3.4" pully and about 16-17psi. Trey had put over 5000 miles on his car in 2 months and brought the car to znationals/zcon 2018. Trey has now started his motor build over the winter and we hope to see him beating on this car again in the spring! There are videos and photos on facebook. Here are some pictures of his ride! https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...c8&oe=5C76D257 https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...b7&oe=5C88B0C4 https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...31&oe=5C3C1DBF https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...f3&oe=5C6D7041 https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...9e&oe=5C78D281 https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...bd&oe=5C6E76F9 https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...fc&oe=5C6E20EE |

This is a stage 1 kit with race heat exchanger, stock block and 7at trans with the 3.9” pulley. http://www.the370z.com/attachment.ph...1&d=1542237827 |
I thought the reason everyone liked Dynojet is they read consistently, so unless it’s an elevation thing there were no heartbreakers.

True. The DJ is the industry standard. Mustang dynos are the "Heartbreakers". |
man when this kit becomes CA legal..... my wallet will go on a diet

RJM Whipple Customer Thread
Where’s the dyno showing a torque curve for one of these things?
|
That's the dyno sheet which it was from the black 370z at Z-day from last year. Not from the current cars.
|
Yeah still no dyno charts from any customers.

I was able to dig up this test run from a customer on their base tune prior to getting their full tune. I will ask the customer for his final dyno but here is one prior to his full tune.. Please note this was an 7-8psi pulley with no timing in it. I believe he is close to 500whp and 400ftlbs on the 7-8psi pulley. But I will have to confirm his final numbers.
What you can tell is the shape of the graph the torque curve is flat and tapers off because of no timing. This was a completely stock car and stock 7AT. Again this is not his final numbers but gives you an idea of what the tq curve looks like. http://www.the370z.com/attachment.ph...1&d=1542515791 |
In case anyone plans to do mods with their income tax return and will need a tune. Eugene Turkov is an amazing tuner that I have had the utmost pleasure working with on tuning my whipple super charged Nissan 370Z. With his help, I was able to get my car sponsored by ECUTEK and be the first whipple 370Z to be tuned on ECUTEK using speed density. This is a tuning challenge that isn’t for the faint of heart but Eugene has made it a breeze. Using algorithm based tuning to include creating airflow models has been impressive to say the least. He has also educated me and help me understand everything that he was doing to my car/tune throughout the entire process. He created custom coding to provide added safety measures to help protect my engine which has saved my motor twice. The first being when my heat exchanger pump stopped running and the second when my high flow catalytic converter failed. He was able to diagnose major issues with the engine knock detection system as well as help resolved bugs within the ECUTEK software. All of his tuning has been remote as his shop is in California and I live in Maryland. Eugene is a trusted master tuner that will not steer you wrong. https://www.instagram.com/p/BtlnEfRn8RX/

Anything rjm whipple related is a circus. Hell the person promoting this kit doesn’t even run a whipple nor did he even use the manifold. All we have seen have been half *** videos of cars in the garage idling, “ data logs” cruising on the highway. Zero timing dyno sheets. One person with a blown motor. Well they did have that one video of them ripping on the car, and that all carbon370 at z days that was getting ripped on supposedly on a base tune.

Even the customer thread is a joke. First, the thread didn't even follow the post specifications...Second, not one fully-complete build. Adding in the fact that the shared builds are at-home, garage builds does not lend any more credit to RJM, in my opinion. I almost feel bad for those that dropped the coin on this kit. I wasn't around the community for the GTM/Gamma days, but the For Sale/Wanted threads for these will be fun to read in the future. |
Once I saw the name Bobby/vsr, I blew off this kit.

Wasn't there supposed to be some kind of hood for this thing too? :stirthepot:

Last post on RJ_Manufacturing Instagram was on Sept. 19, 2018. The RJM Facebook page shared a customer's car (OP from the other review thread) on December 24, 2018 and also posted a "start up' video of the Carbon Z on January 15th, 2019.
Actual last post from RJM_MFG on the forum: 12/19/2017 What's going on here? |

Lol they’re still active if you inquire about them... messaged on Facebook to find some more info out and got the basic promotional answer. Still can’t wrap my head around why someone would spend 8k+ for less than 600 horse and you still have to buy all the proper boost support. Garbage product
