With high compression your are already generating alot of heat and adding an additional 20psi is going to blow the VQ37 to kingdomcome. I think the most boost you can run on the VQ37 from what I've read is around 8psi max on 93 oct. and that's considered high. When I had my Evo I was running 22psi daily driven and 24psi when in race mode all on 93octane.hehe.
thanks man for answering i really appreciate it..and to all others sorry for not giving detailss and w.e but thanks for answering like i said i dont have logic in mechanical...all i can tell u is cars/models/years....thats like the best thing i know and lil about them...i thought nissans blocks could handle lots of boost/power etc... rb26's n1 block example i think it could handle like over 2000hp...thats why they call it godzilla correct me...rb26 is nissan skyline gtr34's motor

Two thou-

No.

Different blocks, different applications, yada yada yada...Make a power goal for yourself and build towards that. You want good power and torque?

Here you go.

Exactly....Most Applications in the works for the Z will be in the 6-10psi area and punch you up 100hp (or more).

I work with Audi turbos all the time that will hold a steady 22-23psi, but that's a block that was originally designed as a diesel.

Every block has certain limitations to say nothing of the rods and bottom end.. Don't use PSI as the be all/end all

Not to mention the VQ has an aluminum block. Although I think even the EVOs are aluminum now, which is just amazing considering the boost levels involved.
