The wrinkle finish would look pretty cool! I think that we will actually be doing a wrinkle finish, although I'm not sure on that. It's funny because wrinkle finish looks really good on the manifolds but smooth black powder coat looks really good on the charge pipe where a wrinkle black would look too industrial in my opinion...Kind of odd how those two different finishes on two different components right next to each other can look so good.

I just realized I completely misread your post. For some reason I thought you were talking about the intake manifold finish, and not the supercharger's. This makes more sense as Vortech always offers a satin finish and a polished finish.

But, doing a wrinkle finish on the intake manifold would look good. Its just a matter of making everything else match well.

Default Thank you Kyle

Kyle,

Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. I understand how Stillen chose the centrifugal over the TVS.

Please don't misunderstand, I think Stillen is a great company and while I may not like all of the component choices, I respect the quality of work and final products you guys produce.

I did find the design of the intake manifold to be pretty cool with the intergrated exchanger. I have used similar designs in the past and have had great success with placing only heat sinks with heat pipes in the air flow (instead of running the coolant through it), then routing the heat pipes to an outside location where the coolant can flow over them creating a heat exchange cycle. Generally, that system can flow a higher volume of air at a lower pressure and has better heating/ cooling due to improved coolant flow and pressure. Might be an option if you guys start having manfacturing problems with the intergrated exchanger... or if you just need something else to play around with (can never have too many side projects lol).

Anyway, thanks again. You guys are a good bunch in my book.

Haha, nah no heart attack here.

I'm on here so often because this is how I take breaks from work. It distracts me and takes my stress away. I can't be the only one on this boat. I think if I worked at a place like Stillen I'd be happy all the time.

Back on topic... for me its either polished or covered in some sort of heat insulation. My last turbo was that cast aluminum finish and it looked terrible, I want polished or wrinkle-something this time around.
